Food here is average but much more importantly multiple members of our large party had items stolen from their coats and bags that were checked into the cloak room. Cash and credit cards. I have read other reviews on tripadvisor and it seems similar things have happened to other people.

Do not eat here.

We arrived early but without reservations and asked to be seated in the back area away from the entrance. I was so rudely told that it was not possible without an explanation. I almost walked out of the restaurant but we were with guests who had lived in Morocco and so this was not an option. (The manager later explained to me that the area is reserved for groups) We ordered various tajines and appetizers which were delicious and authentic according to our friends. Once seated, we had to call the waiter numerous times. The service in this establishment is a far cry from the usual Moroccan friendliness and desire to please.

Riad Nejam is situated in front of Beaubourg Museum.
This restaurant has a very nice setting, it looks like a Moroccan Riad with a very high ceiling, a nice Arabic decoration, palm trees and vegetation (some of them are fake but looks good) : a real oasis in this very tourist and lively area.
Staff are very friendly and thoughtful, always similing, which is very appreciating.
The only very bad point is food which is blend and not good quality. We had a menu including starter, main meal, tea and wine for around 40 € / person. As a starter we had an assortment of salad, eggplant, kind of arabic samosas and sort of mediterranean ratatouille : this was quite good, fresh and tasty.
However the couscous and the Tajine were tasteless, without spice. Chicken cooked on its own, it was very dry, the merguez wasn't cooked and was even cold.
This is areal a shame, this restaurant has all the ingredients to be a very good spot except for food.

Huge, beautifully decorated restaurant just across from Centre Pompidou. The servers were pleasant and our food arrived relatively quickly (given it was a relatively slow night and we arrived just as it was opening). We chose a handful of different dishes (most veg.) and all were delicious! If you want a centrally-located restaurant and a break from the bread and cheese of la France, Riad Nejma is a good bet!

Very nicely placed, just in front of Center Pompidou, near the Brancusi Atellier, walking distance from Notre Dame. Nothing special but reliable Moroccan food, as you can test it in Rabat or Fez. Have spent some time in Morroco eating from railways stations to 5 stars hotels in Casablanca and I truly enjoy this tastefully, round cuisine. The starters are good, with excellent salad combinations involving eggplant, bell papers, onions. Of course, the famous briouats have to be tasted. Here maybe a bit too deep fried for our western habits but for sure done as they use to do it in regular Kasbah restaurants. Pastilla (Bastia) was full of aromas but also slightly with too much olive oil. The aromas in Moroccan cuisine are fantastic, one only can guess from time to time what it is in the vegetables or in the kefta. The Berber Couscus was an experience with a serving being possible to be shared easily by 3-4 adults. Tanjine, as usual, was my favorite ( the chicken with preserved lemon) and this one was again, honestly made. Good kefta, but maybe a bit more aromas and spices would have been closer to the original. Was probably a sacrifice of tradition to the French customs. For the finish I’ll recommend to go either for the Moroccan pastries or (again my favorite) for the Milk Pastilla. Absolutely do not spend money on the national wines. We couldn’t go farther than the first drops. But we shouldn’t expect much on the wine side from a country which is Muslim for more than 1450 years. It is a pity though they do not make homemade lemonade.
One in all, was a decent experience, plenty of food for very affordable prices, very nice and authentic atmosphere and decorations and nice and helpful young attendants, of course of Moroccan origin.
I herd "404" is a better Moroccan Restaurant in Paris, but it is only opened for dinners.
