We spent two nights in this hotel and our overall impression was quite good. Our room was very small, especially the bathroom was tiny. I think that my toilette at home is about the same size of the whole bathroom in this hotel. At first sight the room looked clean but when you took a more precise look you could see that the shower wasn't cleaned very well and there were also a few hairs in the bathroom.
Our view was quite nice as well: the room was on the third floor and you could see the sky and the other houses around (which were - like most buildings in Paris - beautiful decorated). The windows were faced to a road but it was not noisy at night because the windows are quite good.
There is a metro station about 5 minutes away from the hotel. It belongs to the metro line 1 which is quite long and takes you to most tourist attractions directly.
On our first two days (Saturday and Sunday) we met quite unfriendly staff at the reception. When we first arrived at the hotel, we waited for about 10 minutes before somebody showed up at the reception (I have never experienced something like that before). On Monday (our last day), the staff who we hadn't seen the other days were completely different. They were extremely courteous and left an professional impression.
We also experienced a huge difference regarding the breakfast staff. Breakfast after the first night was pretty chaotic and messy. The waitress was busy in the kitchen or carried out glasses (one by one) and did not realize that the buffet would have needed a refill. At first, there was no bread. When she had refilled the bread, there was no cheese and no spoons. In 45 minutes, they ran out of coffee twice.
Well, my expectations were low when we went for the second breakfast, but this time many things were different. There was another waitress working who also welcomed us nicely. Everything was in stock and they also offered new things to eat. For example, on the second day they offered fruits, an additional cereal was available, cakes, milk .. this breakfast was very enjoyable.
On the day we checked out, we left our luggage for several hours at the hotel without any additional charges. We also checked in much earlier than we officially would have been able to (although I did not announce our early arrival time).
