We picked this bed and breakfast mainly because of the great reviews and ratings. Still, the accommodations far surpassed our expectations! The bedroom and bathroom are small, but more than adequate. Most days we came back to the room for a short nap before going back out for supper. Jozsef has the perfect disposition for hosting. He was friendly, resourceful, and warm.

Bed & Breakfast Bouchardon exceeded all of expectations, even after reading the glowing reviews on Trip Advisor!
It is in Paris' District 10, which is a very diverse and laid back neighborhood. It is not touristy, yet all of Paris' sites are either within walking distance or a quick metro ride. When you arrive, you walk through a lovely old courtyard, ride up to the top (5th floor) in a little glass elevator, and ring the bell. You are greeted by Jozsef with a warm welcome, situated in your small, but very tasteful and clean room, then brought to the Parlor/living room to become acquainted. You will see that you have already formed a special relationship with Jozsef through the exchange of emails you will have before your trip. This leads to feeling as though you are simply staying with a friend who is gracious to have you visit.
We sat on the couch, my husband, Jozsef and myself, side by side, on our arrival day, Saturday. Jozsef shared his passion, with our interests in mind, for Paris' sites and restaurants while looking over the map. We sat and chatted for an hour, like old friends becoming reacquainted.
In the morning, we woke to the most gorgeous and lovingly prepared breakfast that should be photographed every day. It is truly ART. We were so fortunate that is was Sunday and Jozsef did not need to leave for work. We sat around the breakfast table with Jozsef for hours, sharing, learning, and becoming friends. For the next days of our visit, we would sit with Jozsef just talking about our visit, ourselves, and the world in which we live. If you are not a personable person and don't like to talk with your host, do not stay here. If you are looking for an amazingly friendly and comfortable stay, this is your only choice for Paris. It is absolutely beyond measure - the full 5 stars are not enough to describe how wonderful Bed & Breakfast Bouchardon truly is.
Now that you understand how special Jozsef is, I will tell you about the space: You are staying in a bright and sunny 2 bedroom/ 2 bath apartment. Since it is on the 5th/top floor (elevator or stairs), you do not have neighbor noise. There is even a loft space with the original beams visible, above the guest room. The floors are the original wood (restored), but the apartment has been renovated and has wed the old with the new beautifully. The guest room is very small, yet you never feel uncomfortable since you use it mainly for sleep. The Parlour is always available to the guests. The decor is modern with an eclectic twist. The apartment is immaculate with great attention to detail and design. All of Jozsef’s special objects are carefully arranged and never over whelming only interesting pieces of art to enjoy. You will be most comfortable in your room, the parlour and the breakfast area in the kitchen.
Book early, as Bed & Breakfast Bouchardon is almost constantly booked. It is a great deal with an amazing host, in a wonderful section of Paris. Please, stay at Bed & Breakfast Bouchardon. You will not be disappointed.

We had a wonderful stay of three days. The location may not be the chiquest of Paris but is very convenient and the neighbourhood is lively. Impeccable service and the breakfast is amazing. There is a thought in every detail. A hotel can never beat this! There are a few worldclass restaurants on walking distance (Frenchie, L`Office) and if you are a foodie there is plenty to explore nearby (don`t miss the stroll to Les Halles through rue Montorgueil). Excellent!!!

Ok in Paris... there is ... "La Tour Eiffel"..."Le Sacré Coeur"..."La Place de la Bastille" but you may be don't know the new beautiful, fantastic and homely flat, considered to be essential visiting !
BBB "rue Bouchardon".
Everything is really perfect ! You can go on trust !
The decoration had been tastefully done, the room is absolutly clean and quiet, Jozsef and Frédéric are two gems !
The breakfast is so beautiful that it's even sometimes a heartbreak to "destroy" so harmonious combinations !

Frédéric, Jozsef thank you so much !
If you do some t-shirts with "I love BBB" in a red heart, be sure that my wife and I would be very happy to wear it.

BBB, the new place to be !

We stayed at this B&B for three nights and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others. Conveniently located in central Paris with plenty of good options within a few minutes walk for food and drink. There are also two metro stations within a five minute walk making getting around very easy.

The room within Jozsef and Frederick's apartment is very stylish and spotlessly clean. The bed was comfortable and the street is quiet so no problems sleeping.

The breakfast is outstanding and Joszef was very hospitable and eager to give suggestions for things to see and places to eat.

All in all we had a very enjoyable stay and look forward to return visit!
