This museum across the river from the Eiffel Tower is well worth the time. It also has great views of the Eiffel Tower and a nice little cafe. We like different types of museums and this has full scale models of many Paris buildings so as you can imagine is really spacious and tall inside to fit these in. It was a very interesting museum.

The Trocadero overlooking the Eiffel Tower houses one of the greatest attractions in Paris. Known in English terms as the ''Architectural Museum'' this is a fantastic display of church edifices and architectural masterpieces dating back for centuries. Paris has museums for everything and this is one that you would probably not give a second thought to. I had a ''Paris Pass'' which included entry otherwise I probably wouldn't have bothered, Believe me, it is terrific and you will be amazed at its content. 4 people visited with me and all said ''This is one of the best attractions here'' I agree. Give it a go you won't be disappointed. Great cafe also with a nice little courtyard overlooking the Eiffel Tower and Trocadero fountains. I don't think you have to pay to go in there so check it out, it's a nice break from the tourist throng outside.

Not only are there full scale replicas of many churches, facades, statues and porticos of centuries-old buildings, there is a replica of the Marseille Block by Le Corbusier, a revolutionary appartment building. If this is not enough, there are a dozen or more murals from medieval churches which are placed in the same setting as the originals. Whether or not you are interested in architecture, this exhibition takes you on a trip through France and through time. Because the molds for the replicas were made before WWI, some of the repairs from bombing are able to be exact, due to the resource of these full-size models.

If you love medieval church architecture and murals (which I do), then you will like this museum. And the views out the windows across to the Eiffel Tower are spectacular. BUT if you are expecting an overview of French architecture throughout the centuries, you will be disappointed. There is virtually nothing on the palaces, the chateaux, Haussmann, Art Nouveau, Art Deco. There are small architectural models of late 20th century buildings, a few photographs, a reconstructed Le Corbusier house (which was not interesting enough to be worth all the space and trouble they went to). The cafe is absolutely awful, as is the bookstore/gift shop. Not worth the money..
