This was our first visit to Paris and we absolutely loved the city (Late 50's couple from west coast of US), including many of the important museums and monuments, and many great restaurants. But to get a close up and more personal view of the city, don't miss this. Our tour included stops at various stores that feature different types of local food and related products (meats, cheeses, chocolates, pastries, equipment, etc.) -- see the website http://lacuisineparis.com/content/french-food-tours-in-paris -- but the bottom line is this: You'll see where foodies in Paris shop for the gourmet foods they make themselves, and learn some of the history of food in Paris. After visiting these shops for about three hours, we went back to the La Cuisine Paris home base and tasted the many acquisitions that our wonderful tour guide, Sophie, had picked up as well as some nice wine, too.

Our trip to Paris would not have been nearly as great without this tour.

I did the Gourmet Soirée class and had a lot of fun learning more about French cuisine.
I can recommend this class!

My son and I attended the croissant making class and this is a GREAT way to experience something more in Paris than the typical sights. This is also a wonderful experience for families with teenagers. I attended with my college age son and his comments for this post are: "Very interactive -- time flew by -- and it was worth every penny!" The chef, Diana, is very engaging, makes sure you understand the process and can replicate whatever you make in class at home. All of the staff was extremely friendly. The class was small and everyone got to take part in every step, making this an authentic hands-on cooking class. It was fun to meet the other students who were visiting from all over the world as well.

I attended two courses - Market Class & Macaron Making - through La Cuisine. The chefs were enthusiastic and well informed - which made for both classes being fun and engaging. The variety of ingredients that were used in the Market class was terrific - & what we did with them was really tasty. In addition the techniques we were taught - from deboning a fish to making tarte tartin - were very useful and repeatable.

March 28, 2013. My granddaughter and I just had this fun experience at La Cuisine in Paris.
It is well run and offers lots of fun experiences. We made chocolate Molten Cake and a pastry stuffed with chocolate. Both yummy. It's a "hands-on" cooking class with only 6-8 people. So,
everyone gets a chance to participate. I found it on- line, paid for it from home and everything
went smoothly. They had our reservation and we were expected.
