“Sophisticated charm in an exciting and elegant neighbourhood”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 19, 2013

Located right in the heart of the sought after Sixth Arrondissement, St Germain, hotel Paris Notre Dame is in Rue Danton. It is very well served by the metro, with the Sant Michele station a stone 's throw away and Odeon a very short stroll to Boulevard St Germain.

The hotel is modern and stylish. The rooms are quite dramatic in decor, with greys, silvers and tones of dark & bright cerise. The bathrooms are like a spa adventure, with a choice of three different types of shower fittings awaiting your command! We had an executive room with a king size bed, a two seater leather couch, desk and two separate leather chairs. The only issue with the rooms is that storage is fairly tight, and when you're travelling from half-way across the world you aren't just carrying a toothbrush and change of clothes.

The breakfast is very good, served in a special, designer-conscious breakfast room downstairs. Choices include a range of cereals, fruit, beautiful croissants, pan chocolat and brioche, baguettes and other breads, cold meats, cheeses, smoked salmon etc, and a good range of teas - herbal infusion and black tea, and good coffee. The hotel also has a bar which serves food and looks out onto a courtyard garden with outdoor tables and chairs which would be wonderful in warmer weather. There is a fabulous rooftop garden affording you wonderful, 360 degree views of Paris. Pretty hard to beat, even in winter!

The hotel is close to many of the major and beautiful Paris landmarks - Notre Dame, St Chapelle, Musée d'Orsay, the Louvre and Tuileries, Palais du Luxembourg & gardens, the Sorbonne - the list goes on. The neighbourhood also includes dozens of cafes, brasseries and restaurants, as well as terrific markets, traiteurs, boulangers and patisseries - and fabulous chocolate shops! What's not to like?

This hotel offers new modern rooms, a great roof top patio, with a panoramic view of Paris and the eiffel tower! It's located in the Latin quarter, within walking distance of Notre Dame, close to transit stations, and restaurants. Not what you would expect a Holiday Inn to look like if your North American. Well decorated with a taste of Paris. (Aug. 2011)

Room Tip: There is no pool

Such a great location, everywhere was in walking distance or by the Metro/RER which were minutes away, even the hop on hop off tourist bus stop was nearby. Fortunately,we had booked in advance and got a great rate...half of that shown in reception when we arrived!! So we felt that we had certainly had a bargain. Maybe this is why we had a room at the front of the hotel which was quite noisy but for the price we paid we didn't mind!!The room was small with a curious window between bathroom and bedroom, we still haven't been able to work that one out! the taps were awful to use, very hard to turn on and off with wet hands. We realise that this is an eco hotel but does the lighting have to be so dim? It was like a son et lumiere at times with lights going on and off as you walked past them! The reception staff were great and very friendly. Lots of cafes and retaurants around the hotel so didn't use the hotel bar or cafe. All in all a good place to stay.

Read all reviews and found the negative ones to be overly picky. We stayed using reward nights for most of our trip and while we didn't get upgraded to a balcony room, our room was quite nice and very quiet. Staff was great! Location was so convenient as we used train and subway to get around. Would definitely stay there again.

Stayed at Holiday Inn Notre Dame for my very first visit to Paris. I wasn't disappointed and I'm a very fussy traveller. It started well with being able to walk from the RER station within minutes after catching the early flight from Manchester on a Friday morning. We arrived at about 10.30 am, met friends in the bar for coffee before I ventured to reception to see if our room was ready. It was :-) despite check in not being available til 2pm. We were allocated our Eiffel tower view room on the 7th floor. The room, while small, was decorated in a pleasing modern style and the bathroom had a great shower ( no bath) our balcony had a table and 2 chairs ( this took up all the space) but we could without doubt see the Eiffel Tower. If the weather was warmer I could imagine having a coffee and croissant in the morning here or a nice glass of wine in the evening while waiting for the Tower to light up. The hotel also has a roof terrace on the ninth floor where you can get panoramic views of Paris by day or night. We never ate at the hotel as there were several cafes, bars and restaurants to choose from within a very short distance of the hotel. The hotel staff were friendly and very helpful. I'd definitely stay here again.

Location! Location! Location! Great service! Great views from balconies and rooftop. Looking forward to my next trip to Paris and will definitely stay again. Walk to Notre dame and many museums. Close to the metro and several good places to eat and drink. Also a very small but nice grocery next door for cheap eats! Wifi in lobby allowed for good FaceTime connections on my iPad to talk to the kids back home.

Room Tip: Ask for the Eiffel tower view.

We traveled as 3 couples and stayed at the Hotel. The location was perfect, just 1 minute to Metro, 5 minute to Notre Dame and just minutes away from St Germain which is the perfect spot for night life in Paris.
The rooms are clean, reception service is good and the restaurant for breakfast was sufficient. For us the bathroom is quite important and we were quite satisfied with it. The Hotel is as seen in the pictures, only rooms are smaller but that was something expected. as per Paris standards, the Hotel is quite satisfactory.

Room Tip: Select a room at higher floors to eliminate the street noise.. Some rooms has air-conditioner engine...
