Classic little cozy place in Paris. Food wasn't mind blowing but it's a cool little little spot and if you don't like the food you can always go for a walk and enjoy the view and a glass of wine.

The atmosphere at and around Le Consulat. If you are in Montmarte, you must stop! There were people playing the guitar and signing French songs. Go!

As we sat down the waiter came over and jokingly told us he wanted to go on strike, that he might want to have a cigarette ( which he lit up) and might want to go and eat some cheese (it's a French thing..)
We ordered a couple of soft drinks, some French fries, a cheese "selection" and croque Monsieur.
The coke was cheap tasting, either badly home mixed, or not actually Coke, the fries were more like Iceland fat chips, the croque Monsieur was made on cheapo crap bread, nasty ham and plastic cheese, and the cheese selection was... Not very nice.
All for just €36 .
Don't stop here, plenty more places just up the road to try.

Le Consulate! A great dream of mine to visit this place during my first visit to Paris and it did not disappoint! We were a party of 5 and we all loved the food, from the onion soup to the escargot, and not forgetting the frog legs! What a delicious meal this was, and our waiter was top notch! Amazing service!!!! Would love to come back again when in Paris!

Caught up in the beauty of Monmarte and the little streets, we sat down as it was time for a rest. We ended up eating, a Madame and a Monsieur sandwich at 12 euros each, mine had an egg on top. They arrived within minutes, service was good, but it was just cheese on toast with a slice of ham to be fair. Coffee was nice and we sat just people watching for a bit. Expensive, but that's what you get when you choose to sit here.
