“Unpleasant experience.”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 23, 2013

One of the poor quality tourist restaurants in the Latin quarter. Cold and terrible service. I asked if I could taste the wine and the waiter told me coldly only if I order a bottle. He wouldn't let me taste it because I was going to order half a bottle. Not even a smile. My husband's steak was okay and my chicken (tasted like microwaved) and mussels were overcooked. Wish we had internet access so we could check the review before we went into some random restaurant. Our favourite place in the Latin quarter is L' Hostellerie de l' oie Qui Fume (very close to this horrible restaurant). Excellent classic French food and attentive service!

“Good place for lunch in San Michel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 26, 2013

We wanted somewhere nice for lunch and were told to go to San Michel for cheap food. Despite heading there rather disbelieving that there was such a thing as cheap food in Paris, turns out there is. We had a three course meal for €10 and another for €16. Left feeling full and satisfied, and despite it being busy, we received good service throughout.

“Great Experience”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 11, 2013

Stopped by for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant was very busy but service was fast for Paris. Appetizers were good and the lunches were outstanding. Try the 3 course meals, they were a great value!

“Great food, great service, great price”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 5, 2013

We ate at Le Bistrot 30 twice during a visit to Paris in November 2013. We ate from the set menus priced at 10euro and 30 euro, both meals had the likes of French onion soup, escargot, steak, mussels, creme caramel included and all the food tasted great and was excellent value. Drinks were reasonably priced at about 7euros for a large beer.

The service was also excellent, we weren't kept waiting to be seated or for long times between courses.

Well recommended, within 10 minutes walk from Notre Dame and a great place for lunch or an evening meal.

“Very good food and nice, casual interior”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 3, 2013

We entered the restaurant encouraged an interesting menu, very appetizing smell and a pleasant interior.
Service was very friendly and efficient, atmosphere was very pleasant too. Another advantage is that it is located in one of the lovely charming streets of the Latin Quarter.

We ordered two "17 euros" menus - french onion soup, fish soup, two steaks (one medium rare and served with roquefort cheese sauce, the second well-fried with pepper sauce), and for dessert delicious tart tatin with ice creams and cremme brule. And of course a wine. Everything was delicious and very well cooked. When we finished eating, we don't want to leave that place, instead of that we wanted to continue ordering ;)
The couple next to us ordered mussels and cheese fondee and they were also very happy of their choice.

I highly recommend this restaurant. I do not know what was their problem before, but it certainly has improved.
