This was my fourth trip to Paris over the past 20 years. We have stayed in apartments twice and in hotels twice. This was the best deal and nicest accommodation so far.
The apartment is on the first floor of an historic building (walk up one floor as you enter the building). It is secure and quiet. The area is primarily residential with great (the best in my experience) shopping within a few blocks. Very convenient to the Metro. And did I mention an absolutely spectacular view of the Eiffel Tower? Particularly in Winter when the leaves have fallen from the trees. What a treat.
The apartment is two floors, the ground floor is down, the living room on the 1st floor, and the loft up. The kitchen and the loft are connected to the living room by metal staircases. Easy to navigate but not for those who are mobility impaired. The bathroom is adjacent to the living room. Furnishings are nice and kitchen has very nice appliances, plates, glasses, etc. It is very well maintained with original art.
You can access the walkway along the Seine through a tunnel under the Avenue. You can catch the Metro easily. Grocery stores are nearby.
I was initially concerned about paying my deposit and wiring Euros but there was no need for concern. The owner and her representative are reputable and easy to deal with. Highly recommended.
