Visiting Rue Mouffetard Market (the oldest still running of the capital) just located walking distance from Boulevard Saint Germain, i felt like stopping by and enjoy a nice cup of tea and a slice of cake. I picked up Aux Cerises de Lutèce which was just opposite the Rue Monge and entered.
The place atmospehere and decor feels like you are in the kitchen of your grandmother and that she just pulled out from the oven fresh baking tarts :)
I took the recommendation of the owner, a sweet lady who spoke English and had a nice cup of lemon tea + 1 big slice of her chestnut cake served with a delicious crème anglaise, both homemade.
A lovely and tasty found at an affordable price, i will come back !
