We are immensely grateful to Thierry from #LeftBankScooters for bringing us all around Paris on Vespas and taking great shots of us. He is such a kind, fun, knowledgable and friendly man. Pleasantly suprised that he is quite well acquainted with Singapore and even conversed in good Malay to us, something very heartwarming!
Riding a Vespa is indeed the very best way to explore and experience the Parisian way of life. Plus everything was a breeze for us, even for me, a first time pillion rider
This is the second time I've rented a scooter from Left Bank Scooters and I had even more fun this time. This time we were traveling with another couple and they rented a scooter as well. Again, not only is this the quickest way to get around the city but it is the most exciting as well. These scooters are twist the throttle and go scooters with no shifting needed. They couldn't be easier to drive. They also have plenty of pep to get you going. We drove around the entire city, and my wife on the back with a gopro camera got some exciting footage. The Arc de Triumph was amazing as it's a six lane roundabout with no lane lines. It feels like real life Mario Kart. Traffic feels a bit dangerous but at least you know that the Parisians are used to driving with scooters everywhere so they are looking out for you too. Don't hesitate to do this when you're visiting Paris. And if you're still feeling a little timid then just sign up for a guided tour. You won't regret it.
A big thanks to Nicholas our tour guide.
We ventured out into Paris traffic and survived . Our guide was very knowledgeable on all the local history.
Had great coffee and lunch , an enjoyable day
Thierry was a fun tour guide, and made the ride a thrilling experience. We zig zagged through traffic, and even took on the circle at the Arc De Triumph during rush hour!
Marion and Thierry made the morning registration and safety briefing very easy to understand. And within a few minutes we were off and riding!
Make sure you have some experience riding a scooter or bicycle in road traffic, and you will be in some tight situations in some areas. You must be comfortable riding with cars on both sides of you in close proximity.
We saw many sights, including the Eiffel Tower, the national theater, Notre Dame, and much more. Tour lasted nearly 4 hours, and we conveniently ended out tour near our next tour of the Louvre.
Thanks Marion and Thierry!
Jeff (from Hawaii).
Fun Adventure and Terror , this tour has it all , Great time ,Great guide ,Will do this again if I get the Chance , Took the off the beaten path tour , Great time trying to weave though Paris traffic , Would not do it without a guide !
A big 'MERCI BEAUCOUP' to Thierry for playing such a key part in what was a perfect 3-hours for me and my now fiancée. I'd always planned to propose while on the tour and had been speaking to Thierry a good 3-4 weeks before the event to discuss the route and agree on the perfect setting. He even agreed to record the proposal on my iPhone, and what a wonderful job it was to! I really couldn't think of a better way to see what's such a beautiful city. Thierry - thanks again, a true gentleman. Loved every minute of it.
