Description: Royal Bombay is an Indian restaurant just a short walk from the Place d'Italie in the French capital. The main dining area is cosy with shaded purple and red lighting. The restaurant serves typical Indian dishes such as tandoori chicken and a variety of curries and nan breads. The portions are generous and diners can choose the level of spiciness! The spices are mixed and prepared by the restaurant. There is also a great choice of dishes for vegetarians which is not always easy to find in Paris.

“A real find ... delighted!”
Reviewed September 6, 2013

My husband and I spent a few days in Paris and on the first evening searched Tripadvisor for somewhere to eat. We love Indian food normally but have never eaten it in France. We spotted this restaurant on arrival as it was just across from our hotel. What a surprise to find it so well-rated on Tripadvisor, so we decided to give it a go.
The food was very well-presented and tasty and the staff were very helpful and friendly. We felt really at home and fussed after. The table next to us was a local, which is usually a good sign. We liked it so much that we went back the next night.

“Felt Like Part of India-Food Very Good”
Reviewed July 16, 2013

Nice atmosphere almost felt we were actually in India. Service by our waiter from Napal was excellent. We had the three course menu €15.90, I started with Oignons Bhaja and for main Poulet Au Curry or chicken curry. My spouse had the Pakora Apbergine then Agneau Curry or lamb curry. The nan bread was also very nice for a change. In all we had a good meal with very good service.

“Wish I could take the Royal Bombay home ...”
Reviewed April 30, 2013

The last time I had an Indian meal this good was around 1980, at the Taj Mahal in Oxford. In Holland (where I live) they prefer Indonesian to Indian food, more is the pity.
I never thought that I would have to go to Paris to enjoy the Indian cuisine again!

The Royal Bombay is a small restaurant just outside the metrostation Campo Fornio. On the outside, it displays a lot of Indian "Kitsch". Inside, it has very comfortable chairs, and friendly service. The menu is quite elaborate. And ridiculously cheap.
Somehow the whole entourage whispers: we may not be for the rich and famous but we love to cook, and we do it well...really well ...

The food is out of this world. Go there if you have a chance. If you are staying near .. they also do take-aways.

“super”
Reviewed April 20, 2013

We ordered a cheese nann, butter chicken, lamb(i forgot the name)
They are all very good!! especially the nann, every bite u can feel the cheese, it's not like in other indian restaurants, they only put the cheese in the middle!
The quality of the meat is very nice, the taste of the sauce is,too.
The sevice is also polite.(It's like how they should be.)
I have nothing to say about the food.
Except the quantity is a little bit less for guys.
And the price is a little bit more than neighborhood indian restaurants, but they are worthy.
Plus delivery is free to order, next time i will try it:)
