Undoubtedly, the best way to see any city is in the company of a local. Chris provided just that. As a native of Montmartre he demonstrated a natural charm and passion for the area, which proved contagious. From our back street wanderings, local architecture and anecdotes we had a most entertaining morning. At the conclusion Chris left us in a great area to spend further time being amused by the local artists at work or relaxing at one of the many cafes.

We took the Saturday morning tour of Montmartre and loved it! City Free Tours was very responsive in both email and txt when making and confirming the reservation. During the tour, Chris was an excellent tour guide - relaxed & friendly and told great, personal stories about life in Montmarte. We would definitely take another tour with them on our next trip!

A terrific way to see some of the sights and hear some of the history and anecdotes. Our guide, Tamara, was excellent, really informative and interesting. Shed a new light on some of the sights. We are not generally fans of sightseeing tours but after an great experience on a walking tour in Barcelona, thought we would search Tripadvisor again and came up trumps. We gave a 20 euro tip as had no idea what to give. Would highly recommend.

My girlfriend and I visiting Paris had a private tour with Chris and Tamara which we loved! It was great fun and very instructive. The hotel concierge where we were staying advised to take a tour with them. Chris came to pick us up in our hotel and we started the day visiting Montmartre then off to Notre Dame. Both of the tours were great! Montmartre is a nice hill north of Paris with lots of stories from the art world and it was nice to get the anecdotes, the folk tales as well about the different places we visited.
We also visited the inside and outside of Notre Dame where Chris showed the secrets of gothic architecture and presented that in a very interesting way.
After Notre Dame Chris took us to a traditional French restaurant on Ile Saint Louis where we had a great confit de canard ! ;-)
One hour later Tamara picked us up and we finished the day visiting the Latin quarter which we found the most interesting part from what we saw. The Latin quarter is not far away from Notre Dame, with great historical monuments and where some of the great French writers lived and wrote.
All together, we had an amazing experience that we highly recommend to everyone visiting Paris. It was a long day but Chris and Tamara were great hosts! They were fun, entertaining, charming and provided lots of appealing chronicles about the different places we visited and it is clear that they love their job.
