Had a good walking tour with Chris on Sunday 16 Jun 2013, beautiful 6 hrs of sheer walking pleasure and absorbing the sights and sounds of many attractions.

Nothing beats a walking tour and Chris was extra special. Brought us to lunch
at St Louis Island and I had my first and best duck confit....really superb

Chris has a vast database of all things in Paris....but he slowly gave these bits and pieces of information to our family group of 4 with perfect timing and with the right amount of dosage.

It was so good that we took up another tour with him 2 days later for a afternoon walk of Montmartre.

Of course we did a day tour of Versailles which Chris had organized very well for us.

Worth every euro spent on the above 3 organized by City Free Tour and a big thanks from all of us to Chris - a truly nice guy, will definitely be back for more....Cheers

The tour of Montmatre was very good, lots of interesting details I would not have found in the guide book, any questions about Paris were answered very clearly and provided a great insight about the lovely city.
A nice personal approach, not one of the big tour groups, but a small independent business, well worth taking, thank you Chris for brightening up a wet afternoon

We were told by friends before leaving for Paris that the City Free Tour was a must do while there. Like most recommendations that you receive, you give it greater consideration, but generally partake only if time permits. Thankfully, we made time for the tour with Chris. Shame on us for not making more time for all of the tours. My wife, son (15) and I joined Chris on the Montmartre tour. It was fascinating beyond expectations for each of us on different levels. While the group varied in age, interest and native language, everyone was engaged, no one was left wanting, and time actually seemed to fly by. Chris does a superb job of accommodating each person's ability to walk along at different paces by keeping everyone's attention to points of interest along the tour. This is especially important to older, less athletic individuals that tend to move slower and the very young who tend to lose attention as time goes on. This is where Chris really excels by keeping everyone's attention with rich details that are not found in traditional tourist guides. It is also confirmation that he has thoroughly researched his tour which makes it so captivating. It was, without a doubt, a highlight of our trip. So much so, that we are taking another family to Paris next year and will coordinate our time for other sightseeing activities around the City Free Tour schedule with Chris and Tamara.

Our only disappointment was with some of the tourists. Chris and Tamara only accept gratuities for their time. We had heard that it occurs, and then observed first-hand, tourists that walk off without so much as a "thank you" for the time and experience in order to avoid the gratuity. Please be generous so that others in our place don't miss out on this fantastic experience. As the reviews indicate, the experience is greater than you expect and the value far exceeds anything comparable in Paris.

On this, our second visit to Paris, we booked 2 tours with City Free after doing the Montmartre to Sacre Coeur tour the first time and while one was washed out due to rain, the evening walk from Notre Dame along the Seine via The Louvre to Concorde Plaza was a wonderful experience. Chris is extremely knowledgeable, humorous and informative. Once again we really learned a lot about all the places we visited and would do another tour with Chris in a heartbeat. Chris seems to revel in the tours himself and made sure that everyone else in the group of 7 did also. We found City Free Tours to be a great way to see the city and acclimate to the different areas of Paris. Thanks again Chris

We visited Paris in August and did the Montmartre tour with Chris and Classic tour with Tamara. They were really knowledgeable and courteous. They always wait for everyone and are very accommodating.
We ran a little late and called Chris on his cellphone. He graciously told us where to meet the group and he stalled for us while engaging the group and then filled us in on what we almost missed.
Our walk with Tamara started with an overcast sky which then escalated from drizzle to a deluge. Thank God, my boyfriend had the good sense to bring an umbrella big enough for 2. Tamara honestly told us that the forecast said it was going to rain all day and that it was quite alright with her if we all chose to leave. We all stayed and fortunately an hour or so later, the rain stopped. It ended up being a lovely day. Tamara was just such a trooper.

Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring an umbrella if the forecast predicts rain.
