Delicious Duck Confit-I'm still dreaming of it! We went here our 1st night and were slightly shell shocked by the lack of English, however after the waiter realized that our french was limited, he immediately switched to English and was happy to teach us French. Overall, great experience, if we were going to be in Paris longer, we wouldve gone back! Seriously delicious- def worth going

We stumbled on this Le trait d'Union by accident on our first day in Paris and were immediately attracted by the great vibe and interior. This is a local hotspot and we were probably the only tourists, which was great!

The menu has a wide variety of gourmet dishes, drinks and cocktails, all very reasonably priced.

The quality of food was probably some of the best we had our entire Europe trip and the Belgian beer was priced better than what you pay in Belgium!

Overall we had a fantastic time, we wish we had gone back a second time to eat here!

Highly recommended.

This eatery, with a lot of small tables on the pavement outside, where you can sit amidst students on their way to or from their clases (after all, you are in the Latin Quarter) or housewives back from shopping, retains its French character in a throw back to the 80s. It has a large inside dining area which is reached down a corridor, one side of which is a tall bar.
The menu is of local foods and prices are reasonable. The portions are huge.
We went in for lunch, and since we weren't really hungry, I had a french onion soup, piping hot, and the others in our party ordered desserts- bread pudding, and strawberries in whipped cream.
The soup was excellent. You could taste the bits of onion when you worked your way through the crust of melted cheese. The bread pudding was unusual- not the way its made in England. Here they served two slices of fried baguettes on a flat plate, with some hot custard and whipped cream on the side. The strawberries came vertically chopped in neat halfs, presented in a large goblet, with spiraling whipped cream that rose up into a small white mountain.
The service was a little slow, and our waiter was probably so new at his task, that apart from forgetting our order for still water- which he disparagingly referred to as tap water- he ended up providing some excellent entertainment when he dropped a tray full of someone's order of drinks. The glasses crashed with a merry tinkle, and small rivers of coke and wine ran their competing course along the floor.
That was perhaps the high point of our lunch. Not so much for the food, but for this accidental supply of entertainment, we left our waiter a tip.

It seems a nice place and good location if you are staying in PSG. The staff is not that friendly, they have a second floor for Dinner time, but its relative, if you get there and it is not busy, they won't let you go up where it is supposed to be more romantic...
