We (married couple and teenage daughter) found Le Petit Paris absolutely to our taste. It is a small, friendly, well located hotel. The rooms were confortable and stylish. My daughter was delighted with her seventies themed room and we were happy with our medieval style room. The staff well all very helpful and friendly and all had good English. The buffet breakfast was good and we particularly appreciated the availablity of tea or coffee through the afternoon and evening in the downstairs lounge area -- my daughter loved the hanging spherical chair. This was a very pleasant place to relax after a day walking around Paris or in the later evening after dinner. Location on the Rue St Jaques near the Pantheon is good. The RER is conveniently near for longer distances, but the Ile de Cite is just ten minutes walk away, good restaurants near at hand -- we eat a couple of times at a very pleasant Italian restaurant just two doors down and another twice at a good French restaurant only about four minutes away. An excellent little hotel. (I add in parenthesis that our initial booking did not work and the hotel were generous in the way they dealt with the problem and compensated us for our inconvenience.)

My wife and I stayed at Le Petit Paris for 5 nights during our recent trip to Paris. We thoroughly enjoyed the hotel and the staff were very helpful at providing suggestions for authentic dinner spots and shows. Our room was very well appointed and luxurious, albeit teeny-tiny (not entirely unexpected for Europe). The location was good, on the edge of the Latin Quarter, although the walk to many of the tourist attractions (i.e. Eiffel Tower & Champs) sometimes was about an hour. Overall, a very good experience.

This hotel is fantastic.
Only three stops on the RER B from where the EuroStar drops you off.

The rooms are small BUT did not feel cramped at all. They are as beautiful as the pictures show.

The receptionists really helped us with our very basic french and helped us with where we wanted to go and how we would ask for certain things

The shower is the best I've ever had and we are going to try and copy the layout!!

All in all a great hotel!

We recently stayed at Hotel Le Petit Paris for 4 days, 5 nights in July, 2010. We got the 3 for 2 nightly special, and it ended up being a pretty good deal for July in Paris.

The hotel is located on a really cute street in the Latin Quarter. There are stores and restaurants nearby, and it is right next to the Luxembourg gardens. We walked everywhere in central Paris from the hotel (never taking public transport...Montmarte, Notre Dame, Marais, Arc De Triomphe, Louvre, St. Germain, etc). The hotel is spectacularly decorated and the rooms were comfy.

The nice-touches: great decor, comfy rooms, nice bathroom, complimentary coffee, tea, water and biscuits, great wifi that worked consistently, a public computer from which guests can print e-tickets, and a full spread of alcoholic beverages available at night under the honor system. Also, we made last minute plans to vacate our reservation early in order to detour to Monaco, and the hotel accommodated our change and gave us the 3 for 2 special even though our early departure cut off our 6th and free night.

The drawbacks: The front desk staff was very helpful, but not overly friendly (with the exception of Abdul who was awesome!). The rooms are really small (but I assume this is typical Parisian style). They did not have any guidebooks or tourist tools of any sort. This, combined with the fact that those at the front desk often said they didn't know where certain things were, was somewhat frustrating. The shower in our room leaked significantly and this caused the bathroom floor to be constantly wet.

Overall, this hotel was really good. With a few tweaks, it could be exceptional.

We decided to spend our honeymoon in Hotel Le Petit Paris after reading the useful reviews on TripAdvisor.
The hotel is easy to find once exiting from the nearest metro station. The outside of the hotel is very clean and presentable and once inside we were impressed with the decor and the friendliness of the staff who were able to understand English (but also our attempt at French!)
The room was small but perfect for just us two with a brilliant shower room and comfortable bed. The only criticism I would have is there were no tea making facilities in the room, this is located near to reception and although it is self-serve and 24 hrs, sometimes I would have liked to have taken my cup of tea to the room and watch the one of 4 english channels on the TV!
Overall a very good location either for travellers looking to walk or hop on the metro to the 'centre' of Paris to enjoy everything this wonderful and romantic city has to offer!

Being non french speaking Australians we encountered, from our early morning arrival to the end of our 4 day stay, friendly, helpful staff. The language barrier was not a problem, all had a good understanding of English. Our first discovery; their exceptional coffee maker followed by delicious breakfasts. The availability of all day tea or coffee making facilities in the Breakfast area and the honor bar at night made our stay pleasurable.
We enjoyed our themed pink '60's room, very fitting for our 40th wedding anniversary celebrations. A little small, but it is Paris. It is situated in a good location easy walking to the metro, great shops, museums, gardens and cafes. We felt safe walking at night.
The front desk kindly arranged our bus tour to Normandy, printed out a Google map for our walking adventure to Sacre Coeur, and it was never a trouble for then to call us a cab when needed.
Best liked the decor and color scheme of reception and the idea of themed rooms. Least liked the lack of storage space in the bathroom. Will definitely recommend to family and friends and look forward to returning.

My wife and I actually discovered this hotel through Trip Advisor. After reading all of the reviews, we were very excited about staying at this hotel. We felt that we discovered a gem, and we were not disappointed once we got there!

We stayed at le Petit for 8 nights and were thoroughly impressed with the hotel and the staff. We stayed in a triple deluxe room, and we had plenty of room for our 3 large suitcases (and the souvenirs as they added up)! We took advantage of the Honor Bar the Hotel offers and enjoyed drinks in the little courtyard. After many long days of walking the city, coming back to the Hotel felt like coming home. The Hotel has such a cozy and inviting atmosphere!

We owe so many thanks to the hotel staff - they were wonderful! On our first night there, we discovered that our room did not have a safe installed yet. The next day we had one! We consulted with the ladies at the front to get their advice on places to go, suggestions for the best way to get to certain places, etc. While I am sure they are often bombarded with these types of questions all day, they never showed any sign of irritation. Each person we dealt with seemed more than happy to help us. That is a very reassuring feeling being a foreigner in another country.

As far as location goes, we felt this hotel was in a great spot. We were close to a metro station, and were close enough for pleasant walks to Notre Dame, the Louvre, and the lively streets within the Latin Quarter.

I could definitely go on and on about this Hotel. Bottom line....my wife and I would recommend this Hotel to anyone. We were in Paris celebrating our anniversary, and this Hotel will be a part of our Paris memory forever. When we go back to Paris, we will definitely stay at le Petit again!!
