Stayed here with my partner for two nights. We booked a Superior Room and glad to say we did as I shudder to think of the size of a basic room! That said, albeit compact, everything was in its place and the space available was well thought out. The staff were very helpful on every occasion we needed assistance including recommending and booking a restaurant for us and also helping us prior to making our booking. Our room was clean with nice toiletries (L'occitane I think). We had two small balconies but no view to speak off. We were on the fifth floor and it was very quiet. As regards value, we thought this hotel very well priced for what was being offered compared to other hotels with less. Location was great and very handy for Gare de Lyon. Overall, this hotel was perfect for our 2-night stay, however, 2-nights would be the maximum as, personally, claustrophobia would set in.
Would happily recommend to others.

Room Tip: We were in Room 502, albeit small, it had a bath, double bed and two (small) balconies where the two of us could sit albeit at a squeeze ...

Enjoyed a 4 night stay at this petit hotel! Helpful staff and welcoming lobby. Whole hotel spotlessly clean. Room was great, comfy bed, fantastic shower with twinkly lights and lovely L'Occtaine toiletries. Hotel was in a fantastic location, felt safe and easy to get to many places. Travelled on RER train from airport to Luxemburg station which is literally minutes around the corner.
Only one negative, would have liked tea and coffee facilities in room.

Dear Madam, Sir

The Hotel Petit Paris is happy that your stay was very enjoyable and confortable. Regarding the fact of not having tea and coffee facilities is it because we prefered to set up in our cosy lounge a tea and coffee facilities offered from 12.pm to 6 pm , wich we think it is more social and pleasant.
However we keep in mind this idea!!
We hope to see you again, and thanks for leaving a message.

All in all, this was a great hotel- very very clean rooms, sparkling showers ( and unlike other rooms in Europe, has a shower door that closes!). There is freer bottled water, and the rooms were very cozy.
A few things make it less than five stars:
1: although two of the staff we dealt with were quite nice and spoke good English , the third was rather unpleasant and made it clear he did not want to bother with us. We were too intimidated to ask any questions and waited for the nice lady to come on service to help us. We were surprised because so many reviews here said the staff is nice.
2: the rooms were very small and just enough for the bed. It felt a little cramped.

3: they did not replenish any of the supplies when we were there.
Other than that- great hotel. Staff could have been nicer.

We enjoyed a three might visit to Le Petit Paris. It’s centrally located on the historic rue St Jacques, near to the Pantheon, the Sorbonne and the Luxembourg Gardens and it’s thus a good base for visitors focussed on the Left Bank. The nearby RER station offers a direct rail link to CDG.

All but the most expensive central Paris hotels are small by most standards and this property is indeed petit - 20 small rooms and a small public area crammed into a converted mansion. Our room was ‘compact’ as a double, although it was described as a triple (we recommend it as such only for very close friends). The decor is contemporary ‘boutique’ elegance and each room has a different theme. The room and bathroom design is clever - apart from poor bedside lights - and makes the best use of the available space. The views are uninteresting.

There is no conventional bar or restaurant - typical for this type of hotel - but a high quality buffet breakfast is offered, with eggs cooked to order. The lounge offers complimentary coffee and an honesty bar and there’s a good variety of restaurants nearby.

Complimentary and uncomplicated WiFi is available throughout the hotel.

The staff are excellent - all we met were fluent English speakers, knowledgeable and helpful. The general atmosphere is of a well-managed and customer-focussed establishment.

By Paris standards of quality and value, we thought Le Petit Paris one of the better choices we have made over nearly 50 years of visits - good for a petit visit but possibly claustrophobic for a long one. Recommended to tourists looking for a base rather than a destination and who don’t require a conventional luxe experience.
