“Great hotel in so so location”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 1, 2012

I have to say that the hotel was great. Staff very helpful and they all remembered my name throughout our stay. Rooms are small even by Paris standards but they are nice. Particuarly the showers are awesome, they are rain showers and I've experienced that before but I really didn't want to get out of this one, just so relaxing.

The thing is I find the location a bit of a downer. Pantheon and Luxumbourg gardens are close but that's about it. Ile de Cite not far by not quite close either. Latin Quarter close but I find that to be the most overrated spot in the city. Only an RER stop nearby, though it is the RER that runs to CDG so that's helpful.

In summary, if you like this neighborhood better than I do, then stay at this hotel.... but if you're a tourist I recommend staying in the 7th.

Dear Sir

Further to your comment on Trip Advisor, we want to thank you first of all for leaving a message.
As managing director I am very pleased that you and your wife enjoyed the hotel, that it was a relaxing experience and that the staff was helpful during your stay.

Regarding the location, I noticed that you did not like much this area of Paris, I am surprised that
you did not enjoyed!!! the Latin Quarter, the Luxembourg Garden is one of the most touristic place in Paris. It is famous for its historical 's richness , with its lovely Cafes, great for shopping!! Before to run this hotel I was general manager of a four star hotel in the 7th Arrondissement I can guarantee you that this area is not really exciting for the Tourits excepting the Eiffel Tower. So I will conclude to say that The Hotel Petit Paris definitely in a touristic area.
I do respect your comment and your taste.
Best Regards
The General Manager

We stayed almost three weeks. The staff were unfailingly helpful and friendly, especially Karim and Elyssa, not to mention our accomodating housekeeper. Although the room was smallish, the balcony/terrace was a great extension. Everything was very clean and quiet (with the balcony doors closed). The bed was large and comfortable, the air-conditioning was effective, and the plumbing worked perfectly. Lots of lovely hot water in the shower, a real treat for drought-deprived Californians sick of flow suppression. What more could we ask? Well, maybe a few more hooks or towel bars in the bathroom. Small quibble.

Not so long ago, we were hoping of nice litlle romantic hotel in Paris for our honeymoon; With a tight budget! Our wish came true with Le Petite Paris;

Nice and warm welcome from the staff, room was not so big but so cozy we could spend a all afternoon on a rainy day. Brakfqst id ok.

Above all is the perfect location in the old Paris, the Latin Quarter. Few minutes walk and we were in even, feeling like parisian. Love, love, love...

This was a very successful choice! Le Petit Paris is a discrete design hotel in a historic building which adds to the Parisian experience. Every detail is worth exploring, the reception area, living room and breakfast area and the charming small garden. The availability of free tea - Mariage Freres and Coffee - Nespresso provides a warm welcome. The breakfast is varied and rich - cold cuts, cheese, croissant, fresh juice, yoghurts.... Our room was on the fifth floor with a balcony overlooking the main street and the department of geography. The room is exquisitely designed with quality spreads and pillows. We fell in love with the shower room! A sunroof that brought in the sun rays and the most beautiful shower lights and a range of L'Occitane toiletries.

The highlight of the hotel are the reception staff - friendly, courteous and very helpful.

Lovely place! Excellent, friendly, helpful staff. We had a nice sized room with a balcony and loved it. The terrace and honesty bar are nice pluses. Extremely clean and polished. Twinkle lights in the bathroom were a nice surprise, as were the luscious toiletry products. Great location. Restaurant recommendations from the staff were wonderful. And I loved the small, boutique feel of this hotel. The only down side is that the toilet room is a very small closet.

Lovely hotel, very helpful and pleasant staff, we stayed 7 days and found the area so handy to everything without the crowds of the Latin Quater, the local restaurants were good. Our room was beautifully decorated and the bathroom was amazing the best shower in my life! The TV worked I think for the price it was value for money and would love to return

This is a lovely boutique hotel - the fixtures and fittings are beautiful. Lots of small details that have been very well thought through. The communal areas are also lovely with a nice touch of free tea and coffee after 5pm in the bar/terrace area. The rooms are small but in keeping with rooms in Paris in general. We found the service to be excpetional also.
The bathroom was roomy with lots of lovely L'Occitane products - and the type of bathroom you'd want at home! especially with the LED lights in the shower. We were in room 1 which had a shower only no bath. If you are organised with your luggage it's fine but be aware the rooms are compact.

Room Tip: Ask about the size of the room when you book.
