Just a couple blocks above the river and the Eiffel Tower ia a cute little square called Place de Mexico. If you'd like to mix a little Italian into your Paris adventure, we found Di Vino a very pleasant experience.
Good Italian wine selections, nice food and at least one waiter who is more interested in grazie and prego than merci and d'accord, made our dinner there tasty fun and romantic. And, if you sit outside, all the way to the right hand side (as you face the cafe), you'll have a great view of the Effiel tower and its lights that twinkle for 10 minutes at the top of the evening hours. As Paris cafe prices go, about average.
