“Fabulous boutique hotel in the Arc de Triumphed area”
Reviewed July 19, 2013

Loved this hotel. Very modern, but warm. All natural linens. The comforter was actually pressed when we arrived along with linen napkins at breakfast. We are ere for 4 days and it felt like home after one. The staff was friendly, warm and helpful. Loved the daily breakfast and breakfast room. Rooms are typical in size for Europe--not large. Highly recommend.

Very close to Arc de Triomphe yet completely on a quiet street. Very safe neighborhood. Close to all amenities. We paid $300 USD per night - this is comparable to any 4 star hotel in similar cities (e.g. NYC). Room was very small but we found it extremely comfortable. Beautiful spa like decor. Rain shower. Reception very helpful. Breakfast not included and was expensive, but great patisseries and brasseries all around so lots of options. 2 blocks from champs Elysees and walking distance to all major sites. Subway one block from hotel. Airport shuttle also stops there.

Dear MTooth,
It is great to read that you enjoyed your stay with us at the Hidden Hotel. We are sorry to hear however that you feel that our breakfast is expensive. We are proud to use fresh ingredients and offer homemade salads, cakes, fresh fruit and organic bread & cereals. For 17€ per person, we prepare daily an "all you can eat buffet", including freshly baked danish pastries, fresh juices and delicious Kusmi tea & coffee specialities.
We understand that you would nevertheless renew your experience in our lovely hotel and are happy about that!
Warmest regards from the Hidden Hotel,

My partner took me to Paris for a surprise for my birthday in August 2012 and this was a superb hotel! It's in a great location, minutes walk from the L'Arc de Triomphe and the Champs Elysee. The hotel's rooms are very small but I think this is just typical of all paris hotels. The theme throughout is very natural, lots of wood, slate and the best cotton bed linen. Our bed was draped with white curtains and was eally spectacular. It was huge but well worth the compromise for space in the rest of the room. The only thing I will say is that the rooms have a rather unconventional layout. Ours had a toilet at the far end but the shower cubicle and sink were next to the head of the bed! It didn't bother us at all but might not be suitable for somebody who is a bit shy. The staff were a mixed bunch, one girl really stood out as being exceptionally helpful (although I can't remember her name) - she was so friendly and managed to book a table at a very exclusive restaurant (Le Ciel de Paris) for my birthday celebration. Some of the male receptionists were very dry and not very helpful though which tainted our experience a little.

Overall, this hotel is really nice. It has a quirky layout in the rooms but I loved it and would certainly return. It would be nice though to see all the staff having the same friendly, helpful attitude towards customer service.

Hidden Hotel is a wonderful little gem just around the corner from the Arc de Triomphe. Set in a mixed residential/commercial area, the Hidden Hotel's rooms are spread over two modern designed buildings. Both buildings have breakfast/lounge areas on the first floor with the guest rooms above. We stayed in the "second" building (the one without the reception desk) on the fourth floor, in a room facing the street/front of the hotel. The room was quite small (as are many in Paris,) but comfortably appointed. The bathrooms were HUGE by comparison. (I say bathroomS because the toilet was in a separate room from the shower and sink area.) Due to the size of the room, in order to accommodate our suitcases, and much to the frustration of our housekeeper, we had to relocate the desk chair to the toilet room so that my husband's suitcase could go under the desk. My suitcase was placed alongside the bed, below the window, and generally took up that entire side of the room. There were no suitcase stands in the room at all; nor was there really room for same, had they been provided. The closet space was minimal - room for my husband's dress shirts and sport coats and a couple of my dresses, but nothing else. Aside from the small space of the room - everything else about the hotel was lovely! FANTASTIC staff. Very eager to please and helpful, from making tea to order in the breakfast area, to learning to make a Negroni cocktail in the afternoon, to ordering a taxi to take us back to the hotel, just wonderful, helpful people all around. The room was very, very quiet, even though the windows could be opened to the street out front for fresh air. The street itself was quite quiet, so street noise was not really an issue, either during the week or on the weekend. Although I prefer a harder surfaced bed, the bed was very comfortable and fitted with actual linen sheets - a real rarity these days! The shower was just heavenly - huge, great water pressure and temperature - just perfect. Located just around the corner from the Arc, Hidden Hotel will be a bit a of walk to most museums and sights, but the Metro is just steps away, taxis are plentiful in this area and, if you don't mind walking (and we didn't) all of Paris is just a stroll down the Champs Elysees. Don't overlook this little gem - you will love it!

Room Tip: We choose an upgraded room and even it was tiny. Get as large a room as your budget will allow for...

Dear Maxine B,

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a detailed review on TripAdvisor. We are delighted to hear that overall, you had a wonderful time in Paris and a lovely stay with us at the Hidden Hotel.
We understand that some of our guests do not have enough hanging space in our guest rooms despite the fact that on average there are 10 to 12 coat hangers in each room, however we are always very happy to provide extra hangers. .... and yes, you are right: compared to US standards, European guest rooms are smaller in size...

Once again, a GRAND MERCI for your positive comments about our hotel & its convenient location and our team! It is a real pleasure to hear that you give us the attribute "FANTASTIC"!

Many thanks & best regards from sunny Paris,

Stayed here for 3 days while in Paris. The rooms are set up rather odd (shower is in the middle of the room) but it kind of works. Nice token "French" views from the windows. Room textures are unique - lots of wooden paneling, etc. the front desk is very nice - my airline lost my luggage (avoid Turkish airlines like the plague!!) and the guy at the front desk was calling them for me every hour or so to find it. Location is nice, just a few minutes from the Arc.

My family and I where visiting London from the States for a week and wanted to check out Paris for a few days - this hotel is great. We love small boutique hotels - we like the small, family like feel and this is just what we got. All the staff where very friendly , their English was much better than out French. Great location!! Very clean rooms and comfortable beds. We really enjoyed the breakfast each morning in the dinning area. We will be back for sure!!

This hotel is located in a strategic point of Paris - you can move around Paris easily having this hotel as a base point. It is a boutique hotel well designed with spacious rooms (not only for Paris standards), with a unique "natural style". The staff is very kind and helpful, the breakfast is unique with healthy choices, the overall atmosphere is beyond than expected. Finally, the beds were more than good (coco-mat), giving us a superb sleeping quality. For sure we will come back!

Room Tip: Reserve a sensation or an exception room type.
