“Americans stay away! Bad service. Poor quality food.”
Reviewed July 17, 2014

My first negative review. Stopped here for dinner as we were in neighborhood. Our waitress clearly had an anti-American chip on her shoulder. Initially ignored us. She then refused to offer any help ordering. When we ordered she never asked what side dishes which were included with our main courses we wanted. She clearly snubbed us and her actions resulted in our meals being delayed while others who came after us were served. Finally after lengthly delays a different waiter helped us and tried apologising for her behavior but by then the meal and experience were beyond repair.
Sad that a restaurant has an employee who clearly does not like her job, dealing with Americans or in general being helpful. We could not wait to get out of there.
Oh yeah, the food was not good so the whole scene here is a bust. Too bad as everywhere else in this neighborhood is friendly with better food.

“More Than Just Pizza, Bur Excellent Pizza”
Reviewed July 6, 2014

After two weeks of French food, I wanted to enjoy a good European individual pizza. I googled "best pizza 5e arrondisement" and Il Pescatore appeared. When we went there we were not disappointed. I enjoyed an excellent seafood pizza with shrimp, mussels, and squid. My wife had the special of the day, a whole lobster for only 16 euros. The food, paired with a carafe of wine, provided an excellent reasonably priced lunch. I went back a week later and ate outside. Only then did I notice that the restaurant offers a view of the Pantheon (the dome was covered for restoration unfortunately).

“A bad meal in Paris”
Reviewed June 21, 2014

I don't usually write a bad review when something is not right but this is the exception. My wife and I ate here on a Saturday night and experienced one of the the worst meals we had in long time.
We were seated at 8 PM and were pretty much ignored until 9 PM. Everybody was running around like it was a firedrill. Maybe they were shorthanded?
We both ordered the Tutte Mar seafood pasta which should have been good since the name of the restaurant means fisherman. When the food finally arrived, later than many in the restaurant who were seated after us we were served, was bland and tasteless. Not sure if they are catering to people who do not like garlic or any other spice but the tomato sauce was not tasteful and the seafood did not taste fresh. Our waiter acknowledged that our meal was delayed and offered us an after dinner drink on the house but it was never delivered. We could not wait to get out of there. This, by far, is the worst meal and service we had in our 3 weeks in France.

“Atmosphere and flavour”
Reviewed June 1, 2014 via mobile

This is a very good restaurant with true Italian food, excellent wait staff, very pleasant environment, reasonable selection of drinks, and all at most reasonable prices, especially for the quality of the food.
Highly recommended, particularly if you have been hammered by the cost of Paris food which is not necessarily always good value.

“Very Good; could be great!”

Not enough garlic in the pasta to be true Italian, otherwise very good. Close to our Hotel and very good customer vibe, friendly wait staff and excellent service. We enjoyed it.
