During a recent visit to Paris, end of July, my partner & I returned to this Bistrot due to fond memories of the food and service we'd enjoyed here previously. First, the restaurant was completely empty when we arrived for the lunch-time service. This set off faint alarm bells. The
internal warnings should have been stronger because we could see that two neighbouring cafés/restaurants were doing a brisk trade while our chosen bistrot was not. Casting caution aside we sat down and ordered the duck confit. The duck was very dry and seemed to have been warmed and ready to go, way ahead of our arrival. Our salads were nondescript, the accompanying bread was stale and barely edible. Furthermore, the meals were delivered to the table in record time. Service was too quick we had to ask them to pause a bit so that we could attempt to savour our food; our request fell on deaf ears.
The wine we chose was the only decent part of our lunchtime experience. Needless to say we won't be bothering with this place again.
