“Renaissance Paris Arc De Triumph Hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 23, 2014

Stayed here April 15-19th , family two teenagers. Location is excellent down the block from Arc, Metro, fine restaurants. Easy to get anywhere in Paris. The staff is excellent and ready to make guests feel special.
Breakfast in the restaurant is great as is dinner if you like the fusion of French and Indonesian.
The rooms we were in were top floor with terraces with a view of the Eiffel tower and Paris. Clean room well appointed as well as the entire hotel is also.
Most impressive was the staff that upon check in to check out were very warm, friendly and eager to see our stay was great.

I recommend this hotel and I would certainly stay again.

We stayed at the Renaissance April 17 to 20, well located hotel convenient to the Metro , Restaurants, Champs Elysee, you can get around Paris from here very conveniently.

Very nice contemporary hotel with very good facilities and ambiance. The rooms are quite spacious and very comfortable, we enjoyed the balcony overlooking the garden.

The staff are fantastic, extremely helpful and willing to answer whatever question, they are jovial, courteous, pleasant and committed to keep the customer happy - Congratulations guy,s.

I use the Marriott group most of the time and am Gold Elite so I can say this hotel for me is very good indeed, highly recommended, will definitely be back later this summer.

Room Tip: Ask for a garden view balcony room, very nice.

We stayed at The Renaissance Paris Arc de Triomphe hotel a 5 star gem for 4 nights in April 2014. A very modern hotel, large rooms, friendly accommodating staff who provides great customer service. The hotel is close to the Arc de Triomphe a top 5 tourist attraction, the metro (subway), restaurants, and Champs- Elysees. I highly recommend.

What a location and the most Fabulous service - great staff - loved the free mini bar - loved the amazing terrace from which to view the most spectacular sunrise over the Sacre Coeur. Really touched with the gifts for our engagement . If Paris wasnt the most amazing city to visit we would have happily stayed in our glorious room for ever. Thanks to everyone working there - we will be back !

Room Tip: Splash out and go for the Paris view rooms - you will NOT stay in a better room in Paris .

We arrived at the Renaissance AdT on April 3 for 1 weeks stay. We were instantly welcomed by Dian at the front desk. From the moment we walked in we were treated like family. Dian noted we were celebrating our anniversary and had a bottle of champagne waiting up in our room. She also gave us the rundown of the hotel and neighborhood, including a good Patisserie for lunch - sandwiches and pastries. The hotel has a hip modern vibe to it. Our room was quite nice, with a little balcony overlooking the back of the hotel. The location of the hotel is great. Just steps from the Charles DeGaulle and Ternes metro stops. The Arc de Triomphe is a 5 minute walk and can be seen from the hotel. The Eiffel Tower is about 15 minutes away on the Metro but can also be seen from the hotel. We had breakfast a few times at Makassar, which was included, but a little pricey if its not. The bar and lounge have a cool ambience as well, and they have a DJ some nights. The hotel staff, from Dian, the concierge, front desk, bellmen, chambermaids, etc. are all amazing. They really went out of their way to make our vacation perfect.
The surrounding area is a little quiet and very nice and safe, but its a good central base, and we were out and about a lot. Paris is a walking city, and we walked everywhere as well as taking advantage of the Metro, which is fantastic and easy to use. We took a dinner cruise down the Seine on Le Calife, which was very romantic and had great food. We went to several museums, the Orsay being our favorite. The Louvre is great, but its huge and daunting. Went to a cool jazz club called Caveau des Obuilettes. Really cool place underground in an old jail/dungeon. We had some reservations when we arrived, but it turned out to be a great place to see a show. I recommend using La Fourchette to book dinners as they offer 20-50% off dinners at some restaurants.
The hotel also had a love lock promotion, which was very nice. They have a large "R" outside and you get a lock, write your names on it and they give you a glass of champagne as you put the lock on and throw away the key. Their version of the love lock bridges.
Our favorite areas were the Marais and the Latin quarter. We also took a crazy day trip flight to Monte Carlo and Cannes, which was fun but it was an exhausting day. We booked the flight through Easy Jet, which had very cheap flights and its only 85 min away to get to Nice.
I highly recommend this hotel, they really made it our dream vacation by pulling out all the stops and being so helpful, whether it's receommendations for dinner, getting us a taxi, leaving candies every night during turndown service, or just welcoming us by name everytime we walked by the lobby. Great location, staff, rooms, food and drink. Go enjoy Paris at the Renaissance!

Room Tip: Get a room in back on a high floor with a balcony.

We recently stayed at the Renaissance Arc de Triomphe when in town for the Paris Marathon. Looking to use Marriott Rewards points, we were evaluating each of the local Marriott properties, including Vendome and Champs Elysees.

After reading a number of other reviews on TripAdvisor, we decided to stay at the Arc de Triomphe property. Among other factors, the location was prime for the Marathon, being just steps from the start and finish lines. It was also close to some of Paris' best restaurants and the M-1 line, from which you can virtually get anywhere in or around town. As a side note, our last time in Paris, we stayed in a more residential part of the 7th - and we found the locals on this side of town to be much more friendly and accommodating.

Upon arrival, the staff was quite warm and welcoming. Though there was quite a long line at check-in (also due to check-out's), they managed to accommodate everyone in a pretty swift fashion. Though our room wasn't ready at check-in, the front desk was kind enough to call when it was.

Like many remodeled Renaissances, the hotel in general is very chic. The rooms themselves were impressive as well, quite large by European standards. Our room faced away from the Ave. de Wagram, towards La Defense. It was quite peaceful, even with the door to a small patio left open. The bathroom was a far cry from our last Parisian stay - with a full bath and vanity.

The daily breakfasts, included at no cost as the hotel does not have a concierge lounge, were sumptuous, with a decent spread both on the a-la-carte menu and buffet. The housekeeping staff, with whom we spoke on several occasions when in need of more towels, were friendly and extremely fast. Even the fitness center was modern and of a decent size, never having to wait for a machine even at peak hours. As native English speakers knowing little French, we had no issues at all speaking with anyone in the hotel.

What really set this hotel apart though was the magnificent concierge, Mael, who deserves a huge shout-out. Not only was he spot on with EVERY recommendation he made, but he was also quite honest (see my Le Relais de Venise review). Further, he also took the time to chat with us regarding the Marathon - even sharing his own experiences - and leaving a personal note wishing us luck the following day. He helped to make the stay that much more memorable!

In conclusion, as someone who likes to hotel-hop when revisiting a city, I would book here again in a heartbeat.

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor away from Ave de Wagram!

We travelled to Paris for a weekend break, were shamelessly intending on visiting all the main tourist attractions, and needed a well-located base which allowed us to be walking distance from most places of interest.

The hotel met all of our needs, we took the Eurostar rather than fly, and it was a short easy trip from Gare du Nord on the Metro. The reception staff and concierge were excellent, very courteous and helpful. Our room was modern, clean and had a balcony. The only negative was that it was a little noisy, ie from the rooms around us.

We only needed a room to sleep in, and were out and about for the rest of our time in Paris, so the hotel met our needs perfectly.
