We spent 5 nites in this hotel. What a great location too! Excellent room, clean, comfortable bed. The staff was outstanding. Very friendly and helpful as we went to take an adventure thru Paris each day. There was no language barrier and they were very focused on hospitality. Their service was outstanding! The location was great. Convenient to two different metro stops that had lines to get you to wherever you needed. Especially to/from CDG. Close to cafés, shopping, and of course the Arc..
This hotel was a great place to stay. But also a great spot to start each adventure thru Paris due to its location and the proximity of the Metro stations to the hotel..

I spend four nights at the hotel. I forgot my wedding ring on the last day which was a Friday. I called few hours later and the staff told me that nothing could be done or checked before Monday -I had to talk with Human Resources on Monday! They refused to check into the room on the same day but reassured me telling me that no forgotten item was stolen in their 5 stars hotel. On Monday, the ring was gone and the staff refused to take any responsibility. I don't recommend this kind of hotel where common sense and trust have disappeared.

This was my second stay in Paris, but the first time at the Renaissance. My husband and I had a wonderful time. Super comfortable bed, deluxe bathroom, excellent full breakfast each morning. The staff was especially friendly and helpful, and everyone spoke English which was helpful. The location of this property is very good, just steps away from the major Metro stop (Etoile) that can get you all over the city.

Room Tip: Ask for an upgrade to a junior suite.

Nice room, great location and excellent service. Easy walk to the Arc de Triomphe, the Champs Elysees and two Metro lines that can take you anywhere without too much difficulty. Everyone on the hotel staff was very helpful and very clear with directions and dinner recommendations. Suggestion that some rooms have an Eiffel Tower view is misleading - in my room only the very top of the tower could be seen and it was partially obscured by a bush growing on the roof of the building across the street. Several cafes and restaurants are within walking distance and they provide a quick and economical alternative to the very good (but expensive) hotel breakfast buffet - if all you really need to start your day is coffee and a warm croissant.

This hotel exceeded all expectations; however, we had just come from four plus weeks in Italy where we were staying in "sufficient for your needs" kind of places so we felt spoiled here.

This is a new facility, about four years old, modern and in excellent shape. We actually enjoyed everything about our stay and couldn't have asked for a better experience. It did help that we are Marriott gold elite members so we had a free room upgrade, complimentary full breakfast and free internet in our room. Everything in Paris is expensive so it was also advantageous for us to use Marriott Reward points. Here are the highlights:

Staff: Exceptional! Everyone was helpful, pleasant, accommodating, and spoke English as well as many other languages. Antoine, one of the navigators, helped plan out our full five days, and was delightful! The hostess for breakfast, BiBi, was friendly and helpful. Carla, who checked us in, wanted to make sure that everything was to our liking.

Room: Very comfortable! The bed and bedding were amazing--we slept very well. The room had a large floor to ceiling window which allowed for a very open feeling. The furnishings were contemporary and well appointed. While the shower had only a half glass enclosure, it was very functional with two different showerheads and we had no problem with it. There were amenities in the bathroom--shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, lotion. Towels were soft.

Breakfast: Amazing! I would not have paid 30 euro for it but was happy to have it included with our room due to our Marriott elite status. There was a huge buffet with juices, fresh fruits, yogurts, breads, pastries, croissants, jams, nutella, coffee, tea, milk, hot and cold cereal, scrambled eggs (or they would make an omelet of your choice), potatoes, mushrooms, cooked tomatoes, cold cuts, cheeses, pancakes, hard boiled eggs, etc., etc. There were so many choices and so much that we didn't need lunch after eating breakfast here!

Location: The hotel is located in a relatively quiet area, a five minute walk to a metro stop and Arc de Triomphe. We could have easily walked to the Eiffel Tower, maybe 30 minutes, however metro stops were convenient and we were trying to make a scheduled reservation time. We did walk the length of the Champs Elysees a few times, once back from the Louvre to the hotel, maybe 45 minutes--depending on what you look at along the way.

The Marriott on Champs Elysees may have been somewhat more convenient to sights but in a much busier area and metro stops are easily accessible to either hotel. If you want new world charm go with the Renaissance. If old world charm and being in the hustle and bustle is more to your liking, go with the Marriott. We were very happy with our choice.

We LOVED Paris--even in November with a mix of a few drizzly days. The Christmas decorations were starting to be displayed and the windows in the main department stores were delightful. We visited November 9-14 with fewer crowds of tourists and manageable weather. What's not to like about Paris????

Room Tip: .We were on the 5th floor overlooking the buildings across the street from the hotel. Fun at night...

We spent four days at this hotel this summer and it couldn't have been a better choice. We drove to Paris from Amsterdam after visiting family, and being a bit nervous about driving in Paris, this hotel was the perfect choice. The hotel itself is outstanding! The staff was amazing, the room was stunning and the bed was a dream, but the best part was it's location. Just a few hundred meters from the Arc de Triomphe, which meant that we could walk almost anywhere in old Paris in under half an hour and for any place a bit further out, there was a metro station across the street from the Arc. The Paris metro system is amazing! Clean, fast and efficient, easy to find your way and under 2 dollars a trip. The hotel is a bit pricey but well worth it!

We picked the perfect location for our visit to Paris. The arrangements for dinner, entertainment, and sightseeing were always spot on by Chloe, the hotel concierge. The rooms were nice with a balcony and a wonderful view. The associates of this facility were always helpful and more than willing to help in anyway. I missed being there the moment we left.

Room Tip: Request a balcony room and ask what the view is like.
