What impressed most about this hotel was the attitude of all employees. They were truly focused on customer service.

There is no concierge lounge at this hotel, but platinum members get free breakfast, and the breakfast is really good.

The gym is adequate, and the business service is excellent. I had an Indonesian dish at the restaurant that was really delicious.

The hotel is walking distance to several good attractions, include the Lido, Arc de Triumphe, and Club Aviation.

A fantastic hotel! The location is great; 2 min walk from the Metro, 5 min walk to the Champs-Elysees and the Arc de Triomphe and restaurants and cafes all around you. The rooms were beautiful and had a wonderful view of the Avenue de Wagram. The beds were to die for and the bathroom was very spacious. Staff were also very helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay here again next time we go to Paris.

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor with a view of the Avenue de Wagram

Our family of 3 (me, my wife and our 8 year old daughter) has a faboulous time in this hotel. Starting from the helpfulness of the staff at the reception to assist in an early check in all the way till expedited check out the experience has been one of the best we ever had.

Pros:
- Early check in arranged and free drinks offered to compensate for the 15 min additional wait time
- Room condition was awesome, clean and convenient
- The staff was always helpful all throughout and sometimes very proactive right from the breakfast table to the bell boy at the exit door
- On the morning of the check out the breakfast was still not open but the group made special arrangements for us to carry out food which was a unique experience
- Every evening when we got back to the hotel there was some goodies and a good night note waiting for us on the bed.
Cons:
- We wanted an upgrade (beinng a platinum member) but they could not accomodate us and hence the room did not have a view o the Eiffel tower which we were hoping for. But this goes on to show how popular this hotel is.

If given a chance we will go back and stay there again.

Room Tip: Ask for Eiffel Tower facing or road facing room for a better view.

I am a little surprised by all the giddiness about this hotel. We spent 3 nights here at the end of August. We paid extra to stay in a larger room and the room was as expected, good size and very clean and modern. But the positives basically end there and for the prices they charge, you would expect a lot more.

There is zero charm at the hotel, the area immediately surrounding it is not that great, the concierges try to be helpful but are abrupt and don't have good recommendations. We got 3 separate recommendations from them for places to eat and they were all terrible. And it's close to impossible to find terrible food in Paris, so how these concierges are recommending these places is baffling.

The hotel is close to Champs-Elysee and the arc but very far from the Louvre, the left bank, St. Germain, Luxembourg Park, etc. So we certainly did not love the area. The Champs-Elysee has become like the Disneyland of Paris, with hundreds of thousands of tourists just walking around looking at shops you get anywhere in the world, Banana Republic, Gap, McDonalds, H&M, etc. You could be walking in LA or Hawaii or any other place in the world.

And worst of all, the area immediately surrounding the hotel is really not that great. No really good options on cafes and shops.

We then checked into La Maison Favart and that was something to be all giddy about. Lovely rooms, tons of charm, fantastic location, great concierges, unbelievable service and just an all around fantastic hotel. And ironically, we paid the same price for the Renaissance that we did for Favart.

Again, I am really baffled by all these fantastic reviews. The hotel is what you expect: A run of the mill Marriott. Nothing to write home about!

We had a lovely time at the property and in Paris.

Many thanks to Xavier Remi, and their team of Navigators - they helped us discover and explore Paris to our hearts content. We found all of the staff at the property to be quite courteous and friendly. The room was nicely appointed, and very comfortable. The "romance package" was also quite a great offering - we enjoyed the champagne, chocolates, and the special treats every day. The breakfast included in the package was also very good.

The location of the property is also quite central, close to the breath-taking Arc de Triomphe, and the glorious Champs Elysees, and just a few short blocks from the Metro.

All in all, a fantastic experience!

We spent one night at the Renaissance Arc hotel and were very pleased with our stay. We arrived very early in the morning after a long flight from Africa and were able to check-in right away - we even got an upgrade!

The shower in our room was the best one I have ever taken in my entire life - amazing pressure and temperature with a rainfall shower head and hand-held option - I didn't want to get out, but once I dragged myself away I was rejuvenated and ready to take on Paris despite little sleep in the airplane's steerage compartment (economy class).

The bed was very comfortable with lots of pillows, and the staff was very helpful. The location was okay - very close to the Arc and Champs-Elysees but not really any other major sites of Paris (although the hotel is close to the Metro, which makes everything accessible in Paris, I'd stay closer to the river next time).

Overall the stay was pleasant, but I reserved an excellent rating due to the price. This hotel bills itself as five stars, and it is very nice by general European hotel room standards, but it's not a five-star hotel. Luckily we were traveling for my husband's job, so we did not pay for our room; additionally we received a reduced rate. Even so, our bill of $365 for one night just seemed ridiculous for a fairly standard Marriott experience, even in Paris.

Just returned from our 3 day break in Paris. Flew into CDG airport and caught the Les Cars Bus from the airport to the Arc de Triomphe where it was just a short walk to the hotel. On arrival we were greeted with smiles by the door staff who took our bags from us and escorted us to Check-in.

The receptionist asked if were celebrating any special occasion while in Paris and we informed her that we were here to celebrate a 40th Birthday and a wedding anniversary she automatically upgraded us to an 8th floor room with it's own private terrace - Room 808. The room faced out onto Avenue de Wagram with a wonderful view of the Eiffel Tower and The Arc de Triomphe. The room had a modern decor and one of the most comfortable beds I have slept in.

The front desk staff were excellent and always smiling. They recommended some great restaurants and were able to provide us with boat tickets for the evening boat tour. As we were walking out the door on Sunday morning one of the door staff stopped us to inform us that as it was the first Sunday of the month it was free entry to all the museums in Paris.

We had pre booked dinner at The Jules Verne Restaurant on the first night and that was fantastic. (Read separate review). For sightseeing we used the yellow open top bus tour which was very informative but a little bit slow on the Saturday due to traffic restrictions. We also took in the Moulin Rouge show which was a lot better than expected as we had read some negative reviews on it.

On our last day we had returned to the hotel after visiting The Louvre to be met by a crowd of excited teenagers behind barriers. It turned out Selena Gomez had just checked in! The door staff quickly hailed us a taxi and ushered us past the crowd with our bags – now I know what it feels like to be a film star expect we were leaving in a taxi and not a Limo.

This is a great modern hotel and worthy of its 5* star rating. If you want to stay in a historic hotel, which there are plenty of overpriced ones in Paris, this is not the hotel for you but if you want an excellent location, excellent rooms, excellent staff and 5* service then I would not hesitate in recommending this hotel.

Room Tip: Room 808 - Great View
