Excellent location (RER for Versailles, CDG, Metro for the rest of Paris, walking distance to Notre Dame etc). Helpful staff (plenty of english spoken). Free wifi, breakfast, welcome drink are all great touches. View of Notre Dame out our window. You can hear your neighbours come and go more than I would like, but it never got to the point of being bothersome. Newly reno'ed bathroom was great - the shower in particular. Overall very pleased with the stay. Booked direct with the Hotel on their 3 night special. Received plenty of info from them before the stay which was nice, good to know they had our booking.

I stayed here with my boyfriend for three nights. It was relatively easy to find and whilst we got a bit of a shock at the reception size, the cupboard that the receptionist worked from and the size of the lift (which the receptionist old us was the smallest in Paris which I would say is not far from the truth!) the rooms were very modern and impeccably clean. There was very liltte space to put bags but the view from our 6th floor room was amazing at night (Notre Dame, Eiffel tower and Sacre Couer), the location was second to none and beds were comfortable. Breakfast in the hotel opposite was fine but be prepared to wait for a seat. The only negative I have is that on Monday morning the hotel opposite, (which was undergoing renovations to its exterior) began at about 8 or 9am. It was quite noisy but I would think this was only a temporary problem. As a rule of thumb stay away from the restaraunts around St. Severin. unless you have done some good research. Our worst meal (in a very long time -not just paris) was in a place called l'Auberge St. Severin.

The elevator was comically small . . . actually more of a dumbwaiter (we sent our luggage down separately). But, overall it was a great value. I was pleased to find out we had a balcony and a bit of a view of Notre Dame. It's very close to the Latin Quarter and delicious Prix Fix menus. The room was clean and cheery and the included breakfast, tea buffet and wi-fi were all bonuses that aren't offered at a lot of places. There is only one person on duty at a time to help with questions and requests and he frequently seemed more distracted by conversations with friends, not customers. I could be wrong on this, since I speak no French. I hate to suggest interrupting conversations, but if you wait for more than 3 minutes for a quick question, I say go for it.

Decided to take my girlfriend for a romantic weekend away and stayed in the hotel Belloy in the Saint Germain area. As soon as we arrived the staff were very helpful, which was much appreciated after quite a stressful taxi journey. For the budget we were working on, we couldn't have asked for a nicer area. The atmosphere at night was electric, helped by the close by university. We were spoilt for choice when it came to restaurants and within a couple of hours were getting stuck into (with some bother I may add) some delicious snails. The hotel is close by to a metro station which was ideal for traveling about cheaply. I would recommend the hotel Belloy to anyone, and the next time I'm in Paris, will hopefully be able to stay again. The one negative thing I have to say about it is the size of the reception. The guys looked very cramped in there and I'd imagine it would be quite difficult to monitor everything in that cramped cupboard. Thank you for your hospitality.

Hotel is near a busy road so you will hear traffic at night. It is not loud enough to keep you awake, but it is noticeable. Rooms are small, but comfortable and clean.
Subway is a 3 min walk from the hotel and there is a grocery store and a Starbucks within 1 min. There is a free continental breakfast across the street at the Best Western Hotel.
Hotels in Europe you do not find many rooms that will have 2 queen beds so a family of 4 can stay. The family room here is 2 rooms on your own hallway. You can lock the door that goes into the main hall of the hotel, but you are still not in the same room as your kids. If you have really little kids you might have to split up the parents to keep your kids feeling safe.
Free WiFi in the hotel, that was a great plus!

We stayed at the Petit Belloy, which is located across from the Best Western Belloy hotel, as people have mentioned. On the con side, I thought it was a touch expensive in general, but in that location, the prices are actually pretty average. With internet offers and last minute websites, sometimes we get accustomed to getting great deals and half price stays, and when we do end up paying full price it seems a bit high. The pros: the rooms have been renovated, so if you see a negative review, check the date. I believe they were renovated in 2009 or so. Our room was not as small as I expected. We stayed in room 54 (in case anyone wants to request it) and it had french doors opening to a shallow balcony, but you had a view of the top of Notre Dame, Cluny, and in the distance, Centre Pompidou. The room comes with a TV and the standard amenities (kettle, safe, etc). There wasn't a minibar, but honestly, when wandering and exploring Paris until quite late, I never noticed there wasn't a minibar. Only as I was tying my shoes on the last day, just before checking out, did I notice, "Hey, there wasn't a minibar, was there?" We slept well. The heater in the room was pumping out nice heat all night. The shower was nice and hot too. The location is great. Just north of St. Germain, 20 feet from St. Michel. It's across the street from the RER B line. You can see the location from the map on the trip advisor page. Breakfast was good. Two kinds of salami, a ham, criossants (plain and with chocolate), cereal, cheeses (in little wrappers), coffee, tea, juices, etc. Continental breakfast I suppose. But fresh and tasty. Breakfast was across the street in the Best Western. The staff were nice and spoke English. They also had free wifi in the room. (The room's electrical outlets all have the little rod sticking out at the top of the two prongs, so if you're coming from somewhere that only uses the two prongs, be advised that you might want to bring an adaptor, if you want to charge your phone or your camera.

This hotel is good for people who want to spend their time outside exploring the city, but who want to have at most a 10-15 minute walk/ride home from most of the sites. It was a nice place to come home to and we knew what was waiting for us and we knew we'd be relaxing as soon as we got inside.

There are 2 hotels. One is the Petit Belloy ( the smaller version where we stayed) and one across the street the Petit Belloy St. Germain which is a Best Western. Our hotel was very nice and clean & at a great price. Breakfast was at the BW and was decent and ample. Staff was very helpful. 2 girls traveling together--we would absolutely stay there again
