Colonne Vendôme (Victory Column) is one of many monuments scattered throughout the city of Paris. This is a 44 metres bronze column erected at Place Vendôme in Paris in 1810
Designed in the manner of Trajan's Column in Rome, the monument showcases a 280 metre long spiral frieze of bas-reliefs detailing the Battle of Austerlitz and is topped with a statue of Napoleon. Interestingly, the column was cast in the bronze from over 1200 guns and cannons seized from the Austrian and Russian armies.
