“Marvellous”
Reviewed February 14, 2014

The staff was helpful even with my non-existant French. Most cakes were fantastic, but eclair and tartlette are a must!

“Despite being a small chain, this place is a total winner”
Reviewed February 12, 2014

I went to the one off Place Vendome, which is not listed here. But I tell you whether it is for a baguette, baked good, chocolate, salad, or takeaway, Eric Kayser is one of my favorite places in Paris. Good selection, attractive setting, good value. Nicely decorated, and displayed. Though not the same comparison, this place is nicer than the more traditional looking Paul patisserie chains. I ate here pretty much every day at some time.

“Excellent bread, really lousy "Pâtisseries"”
Reviewed January 24, 2014

The bread at Kayser is delicious (especially "baguette Monge" and "baguette Malsherbes"), the croissants are really good but the pastries are not good at all.

“Best breakfast choice in the 5th”
Reviewed January 9, 2014

Breakfast spot of choice. Just like its brother shop up the road this does a superior chocolat twist just fine for morning tea. Tart au citron has perfect little meringue spikes.

“Good place for breakfast”
Reviewed December 23, 2013

The one we went was at 4 Rue de l'echelle, which is located near Metro station Musee de Luvre.

Open at 7:00.
One croissant or a half baguette with butter and a confiture, a choice of bottled juice and hot drink cost 8 euros.
