The hotel is within walking distance to Champs - Elysee, L'Arc the Triomphe and The Eiffel Tower. The rooms are quite small but hey: you don't go to Paris to stay in your room, you get out and enjoy the great city. We had breakfast at the hotel one morning (breakfast wasn't included in our room rate), very good quality, but not cheap. A word of advice, most of the restaurants on Champs Elysee are tourist traps - highly overpriced with bad food and service. It is worth exploring the restaurants on the side streets around Champs Elysee. My favorite meal was in a restaurant in the Latin Quarter. In conclusion, strongly recommend Intercontinental Paris, for the location (another bonus is the Hermes toiletries).

Dear Valued Guest,

Thank you very much for your review.
We are glad to read that you enjoyed our location and your stay among us.
Since September 1st 2012, our Brand has decided to provide worldwide the same bathroom amenities: Agraria so Hermes is no longer provided

Rooms are compact but very well laid out and beautifully decorated. Friendly staff. We only took some pre-dinner cocktails at the hotel, which were executed perfectly and served with a smile. We had to wait a little while before getting served, but that was quickly forgiven, as staff is very professional.
Great view of the Eiffel Tower to the left and Arc de Triomphe to the right.

Room Tip: For a good view, ask for a room on the Avenue Marceau on a high floor.

Please note at the outset that this is a boutique hotel. That being said, it is one of my favorite IC hotels; mainly because of its unique character and great location.

I would like to mention a few things;
small rooms (not unusual in Paris),
1 lift serving 4 floors,
small reception desk and concierge desk,
nice small lobby,
furniture is modern but not funky and not old or outdated (unlike W Hotels and many other IC hotels, respectively)

but all of the above is not even a slight disadvantage because altogether this hotel is beautiful and has the best location. It is situated less than a 2 minute walk from the Champs and is near many amnesties (hair salon. pharmacy and convenience store etc)

Furthermore

I arrived at the hotel without a reservation and it was fully booked but the team helped me make a booking at a neighboring hotel, which was a very nice gesture although I was not yet a paying guest.

When I was back as a guest (as a royal ambassador) days later, I received a very warm welcome and prompt upgrade by the duty manager. As an ambassador, and for reasons I can not understand, it is sometimes hard to deal with receptionists at some IC hotels as they sometimes hesitate to upgrade the room, but not in this hotel.

My only concern was that the concierge was dismissive but the morning shift person was well mannered and experienced.

My experience was extremely pleasant at this hotel and so was my stay and I am certainly going to visit again in a few days time. I strongly recommend.

Room Tip: All rooms are small but nice.

Having read the reviews on this hotel, I must agree the rooms are small but you are in the middle of Paris in a great location.

The staff were superb and nothing was too much trouble. There is no point talking about one specific restaurant to recommend as the hotel is surrounded by great restaurants within walking distance.

I would definitely stay again but would try for a larger bedroom if available.

Being a boutique hotel you do have to expect that rooms and lounge facilities will not match the size you expect in a 5 star hotel. This is the case here and I would always book the top end rooms if staying more than 2 days. Our room was the second tier and was smaller than initially expected but we did have a lovely balcony with 2 lounge chairs that we used when relaxing. However, the location was excellent and the restaurant first class and the Concierge personnel would have to be one of the best I have ever experienced.

Room Tip: Average priced rooms are small so go for the first and second tier rooms.
