My girlfriend and I were in Paris for a few days, we decided to take a walk around the famous Rue Cler to enjoy some of the amazing food we have heard all about. We had a look at the menu in the window of Tribeca and decided to give it a try. We ordered a brunch set menu each which included some Chicken Skewers. The food came pretty swiftly and all was well until my girlfriend noticed the chicken on her plate which was on top of other pieces of food was totally raw!! It looked as though it had seen the grille for all of 5 seconds.
Once we got the waitress over, she looked at it and then us as if to say "whats wrong?". We had to poke and cut the chicken to show her that it wasn't cooked, she then took the knife and fork and forced them back into my girlfriends hands and took the plate without saying anything...
A couple of mins later, she returned with a new piece of chicken which STILL HAD THE UNCOOKED CHICKEN on and went to walk away!! After getting her attention back, things started to get heated as I argued that this is wrong and how can she expect my girlfriend to want to eat a new piece of chicken while the old one is still there with a knife and fork which was used to cut it!! We had enough and wanted to leave.. This is when a new waiter/manager/rude guy came over and then insisted that everything is ok and he'll take the old chicken away.. NO! We don't want to be here any more, I'm happy to pay for my food but not hers!!
He was not happy to give any sort of discount, as she had eaten a few items, he wanted to charge full rate! This was when the volume started to get a little louder and the best he would do was half her bill, i just threw the money on the table and we left! He walked past us we left and just gave a rude stare, teriible service!! Had that have happened in the UK, the meal would have been free and someone would have said SORRY at least once!!
DISGUSTING and really left a sore point to our trip!!
