Description: The French cuisine we like! Nothing fancy, a selection of fresh products, a warm and cosy 'bistrot' ambiance, where regular guests love to come and have a drink (or two!!). Here we only serve what we like, and the wine list is wide!

Haven't had any luck in the neighborhood for food yet....Until tonight. Arrived at 7:12pm, but they let us in (official dinner time starts at 7:15pm)! Only the owner (?) and a waiter, but the service was great! The owner even translated the whole menu to us in English. The food was fantastic! I had beef carpaccio and duck breast (appetizer and entree for 26€). Totally will return again and again and try everything on the menu. It is located behind the busy and smelly market/street, and next to a cleaner. This place totally worth the "smelly walk" [even worse after dinner when the street was a bit dark, wet and more smelly].

We were recommended by the landlord who rented us the apartment on Rue Poncelet (which was a block away from this restaurant. We ended up having our dinners here because honestly no other restaurants we went could beat this! And the desserts are delectable... Absolutely lovely and made fresh.

Though tucked in a corner behind a busy market, this place is always packed to the brim and we're lucky to get seats without reservation. We are also grateful the menus are available in English and the ambience is unpretentious. Giving us a welcoming feel when we're there. This restaurant is truly a gem and worth a visit (10min walk from Arc de Triomphe).

What a great bistro, we were met by the friendly proprietress who welcomed us with a big smile. As our French was limited she happily translated the menu and offered us an English menu.
A small but busy place frequented by locals and visitors alike, we were so impressed we visited twice during our week stay. The menu offers a good choice and I can recommend the very yummy Zuchinni (courgette) and cheese Gratin, if you want to keep costs down they offer a 'pour le dinner' menu at €25 for 2 courses or €29 for 3 courses. Wine is also reasonably priced and the house wine is more than fit for purpose. Situated just a few mins walk from the Arc de Triomphe its well worth seeking this gem out as a change from the expensive restaurants on the nearby Champs Elyesse, this place offers a more traditional and friendly experience and its good to enjoy a real flavour of Paris not the over manufactured one experienced in many of the over commercialised visitor areas of the city. Highly recommended, a great place to eat.

Food is what it is supposed to be, not less, not more. The atmosphere is great though, a place to take friends. Order a pichet of their house wine (can recommend brouilly), take a seat and enjoy.

We had a lovely meal here while visiting Paris in early April 2013.
The place was very busy, with locals and tourists alike.
The did have an english menu, which they give you when you come in. However, there are french menus on the wall which list items not outlined on the english menu. I speak a little french and so was able to translate the bulk of what was available, and when we asked the server helped us with the rest.
There were some minor delays in service, and the fact that they gave us the english menu without letting us know there were other items available (again, I only knew this because I could read the menus displayed on the walls) made us feel a little bit out of place as "foreigners."
However, the wine and food were nice, the ambiance was good, and the price was very reasonable. (You could order a starter and main, or a main and dessert, or have the 3 courses for a set price.)
It was quite noisy when we were there and the tables are close together; I'd recommend it as a great place to go with a group of friends or family, to kick back, have some great wine and a hearty meal.
Don't skip dessert... It was delicious!
