“Great Hostel, 45 minutes from the Eiffel Tower”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 26, 2010

First off, this is a very nice hostel. The rooms are comfy, the staff is pretty helpful, and its quite clean. The showers are those kind that you have to press the button every 30 seconds which was irritating, but that shouldnt really matter. I was in a room with girls who all went to be at 8pm and woke up at 6 or 7am so I did get good sleep, it may vary for other people.

The Wifi in here sucks! At least in the rooms. In the evening the hallways and stairwells were lined with people trying to get good wifi connections.

The one thing that sucked about this hostel is the location. It took at least 45 minutes to get in to the city via the metro. And the metro was ALWAYS full so at the end of a long day of sightseeing when your feet are killing you, it sucked to have to stand for 45 minutes.

I dont think I would stay here again, just for the fact that it is sooo far from everything I wanted to see. I'd probably splurge on a more expensive hostel, or maybe even a hotel next time I am in Paris.

I stayed on the women's floor for 5 days back in December. As a solo traveler, this was the perfect hostel. It's new so the facilities are clean, there's free wifi downstairs (and a pretty good hangout room that stays busy), and it's close to the metro so you can get to the sites pretty easily. It's a bit pricey for a hostel, but get used to it, so are a lot of things in Paris!

The shared rooms come with cage lockers under the beds (bring a padlock, or you can buy one at the desk), which is incredibly convenient but also not very easy on the ears. There are also reading lights in each bunk and privacy curtains. The pillow and blanket are respectable, too.

I only managed to get the free breakfast once, but it did the trick. Then again, you're in Paris, skip the free breakfast and pick up something amazing at a bakery.

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hostel for 4 nights. Our room was clean, the staff was very friendly and the internet cafe was easily accessible.
It was a bit tricky to find the hostel coming straight from the Eurostar, but it wasn't too far from any metro station.
The restaurant was overpriced, but a good place to have a nightcap.
Although we were booked as a couple, the hostel placed us on the ladies only floor. That meant that my boyfriend has to go down 2 floors to use the bathroom- quite inconvenient.
Nevertheless we enjoyed our stay and would most likely stay again.

I stayed here for 4 nights in a twin room. They don't offer a single room so I had to pay double so it ended up being more than a cheap/moderate hotel and I didn't have a private bathroom. They party scene here seems awesome and there is always something happening, but this also means theres a fair amount of noise all the time. The location isn't great and it's a short walk to a metro station that is one stop from the central stations, however there's lots of shops around the hostel and a good supermarket right nearby. This is helpful except the hostel doesn't have a kitchen or any fridges so you can't cook or store anything cold. My room was cleaned twice while I was there, and I found the bathrooms to be clean at all times. The internet cafe downstairs is also good and open all the time. They provide you with a basic breakfast also. I would stay here again.

Stayed here for 4-5 days in Aug/08. I found the location fine - maybe a bit sketchy feeling at night but overall okay. The place is a bit expensive but is clean and secure (lockers for all, despite the slightly annoying cage set-up) and has plenty of bathrooms (stalls and singles, from what I recall). Cheap food, ATMs nearby. I found it easy to meet people here travelling alone. The bar is fun if you don't want to venture out for the night. Would be a great place for someone who's never travelled alone or stayed in a hostel before. A little soulless, but you're in Paris, so the rest of the town will compensate!

I was here for a mainly business trip in early December. I was travelling with two student friends and an older friend, but we were all very happy with the place. She used a female dorm.
Location is not bad, a few minutes from the Metro, although out of the main centre. It was a good setting in a modern building alongside the canal, with boats using it. (The other half is a hotel so if you walk along the canal you might think you are in the wrong place.) Bar was fine, and a largish room with internet.
Good English spoken by the staff and very supportive with odd requests for information. Reasonable cheap eating very close as well.
