“Great hostel”
Reviewed May 13, 2014

Rooms were clean, the pod beds were great, privacy curtains and individual power points. Check in and bar/restaurant was nice, drinks were very expensive though! Even with supposable guest discount and happy hour they were still a lot. Other than that would recommend.

The clean rooms were about the only thing going for this hostel. I traveled with two other friends and we all generally disliked the vibe of the place. The location is poor (going anywhere of interest required long metro rides or even longer walks), the bar, while reasonably priced for Paris, sold poor beer (warm and flat) and poor food. Better to walk to the supermarkets down the road and buy some cans and a baguette if you want a drink and some food. The place smelled off. Our floor was occupied by about 30 schoolkids which was odd, and impacted quite heavily on the state of our floor's toilets. Despite their claim, this hostel is not a good place to meet people or party, or gain an idea of how to experience genuine Parisian nightlife. Every time we asked for advice on good spots to head out to or eat at we were told the same lines about happy hour in the bar or fluro night in the hostel basement or something along those lines, which gets pretty old pretty fast. The main thing that left me frustrated with my stay here is that it felt like all the staff were interested in was making sure you spent as much time at the hostel as possible and spent as much money at their bar or restaurant. If all you're concerned about is a clean bed, and enjoy just hanging out at hostels, then stay here. If you want fun and atmosphere, with a genuine approach to making your stay in Paris an experience that extends further than drinking warm 1664s in the bar and being told about nightly events within the hostel then avoid.

My boyfriend and I stayed one night here and were miserable! The location of the place is a bit out of the city centre but it was not hard to take the metro to get to tourist places. We had a room on the 1st floor which was on the ground floor - people were smoking all night long outside of our room - there was no air conditioning so our room smelt bad and we got no sleep! The shared bathroom was disgusting! The bathroom looked like it had never been cleaned!! The trash cans were full, there was wet paper towel all over the toilet seat and it smelt bad!! The pub downstairs was overly priced and did not have any prices on the menu. The food was not great and our server got mad at us because we didnt tip him enough. Never staying here again.

Room Tip: Dont stay here! or make sure your not on the first floor

Located a bit away from the center of Paris. I walked all the way downtown, some of the areas on the way are a bit dicey (especially late at night). Very close to the metro lines and not far from Gare du Nord.

The price is good for Paris. Rooms were nice, the computer lounge area is very active. Rooms have private curtains, which is nice.

Drinks at the on-site bar are expensive, walk to the nearby mart and pick up drinks there.

Loved it: good ratio quality/price, friendly staff, great atmosphere, nice food, everything was kept clean and respectful. I got injured during my visit in Paris and they helped me at all times and even gave me a free drink. Totally coming back there!

This is a good hostel. It was decently priced. The beds and bathrooms are clean. The breakfast included with the hostel was very delicious. It had a bar downstairs that was fun to go to as well. Average location--the metro was needed to go places, but it wasn't a big deal. Good hostel.

We stayed here recently as a group of four and LOVED it! The staff were incredibly nice, the beds were very comfortable, the place was very clean and it was a decent sized apartment for six adults and luggage, the entrance always smelled wonderful!
