We stayed at Le Fabe for 3 nights and found the room to be modern, clean and well equipped. The staff were extremely nice and helpful, and provided us with a city map as well as great advice on best options to reach particular sights and how to avoid crowds and long queues for entry to the Louvre. They also helped us to book a shuttle bus to the airport and followed up when the bus was late. The hotel is quite convenient and is very close to a metro station, there are also restaurants, bakeries and a Laundromat nearby.

Stayed at Le Fabe with my uncle based on Tripadvisor recommendations. Service was great, rooms are small but very comfortable, the bathroom is very clean and has a window. Staff is very helpful and breakfast is good and with a reasonable quality/value.
Good location (on quiet street, in quiet section of Montparnasse, 10 minutes away from Tour Montparnasse and near to metro station).

Stayed at Le Fabe last month based on Tripadvisor recommendations. Service was great and room met all our needs. Located on quiet street, in quiet section of Montparnasse, 10 minutes away from theatre district and Tour Montparnasse. Had pleasant dinner at La cantine du troquet
on same bloc, with mostly locals. Nothing spectacular but very reasonably priced and it doesn't take reservations. As long as one gets there around 7 pm, there would be no problem getting a table as French people eat dinner late.

This was a perfect choice for our four-night stay in September. Even though it is not in the city center, transportation links are good and one can get to the Louvre or Notre Dame within a total of 20 minutes. Cosy Room #33 (Perle) was comfortable and impeccably clean. The room has two windows (one in the bedroom and one in the bathroom) that can be opened for fresh air or closed if street noise becomes an issue. Double glazed windows provide good soundproofing. The room has good, quiet air conditioning and water pressure in bathroom is excellent. We liked the contemporary styling of the bathroom, the shower especially. The room is small, but not cramped and has well thought-out furnishings and closet space (which included mini-fridge and safe). We recommend the breakfast here. It is a good value/quality, continental buffet. We have happy memories of Paris in part because of the Le Fabe staff, who were remarkably pleasant and helpful.

Le Fabe Hotel is located in a quiet section of Montparnasse, a short cab ride away from the Garre Montparnasse. While the neighborhood is quiet, that also means it is not handy to the major boulevards where there are plenty of shops and restaurants. The rooms are clean and comfortable, albeit on the cozy side. The main drawback is a lack of a bar or even a lobby where one cold relax after a busy day of activities. There is a breakfast room (10 Euros more per person for breakfast), but it is open only in the morning. However, the concierge is very friendly, helpful, and amenable.

Bonjour Newlinview,

Firstly, I would like to thank you for taking some time to write a review for our establishment on tripadvisor and of course for the nice words about our staff and the cleanliness of the rooms.

Regarding our location, we are on purpose away from the main boulevard and the hustle and bustle of Paris. We have chosen a place proposing a real Parisian experience.

I am sorry but I must disagree when you mention there are no shops or restaurants in this area. It is totally the opposite. The Raymond Losserand street which the main street of the "pernety village" (1 minute walk away) is full of shops and restaurants. Between the two metro station Pernety and Plaisance (400 meters between them) you can find 7 bakeries, two large supermarkets plus one in front of the hotel of 7/7, two phone shops, two wine shops, a tobacco shop, 4 cafés, a laundry shop, a beer shop, two bazaars, a kiosque for newspapers, a flower shop, a book shop, etc, etc .... and probably 10-12 restaurants. Moreover, there are dozens and dozens of restaurants within less than 10 minutes walk, included the very highly ranked on tripadvisor, the Bistrotters. And I almost forgot to mention the department store Galerie Lafayette store at the Montparnasse tower.

So yes, our hotel is not located in front of the Louvre museum or the Eiffel tower but we are not far from all the main attractions of Paris, especially with the very efficient Parisian metro/subway system.

As far as the lack of bar at the hotel is concerned, let me please announce you that we do have a bar. Not a counter like in cafés but the breakfast room becomes a room where anyone can have a drink anytime day and night. We propose alcohol and non alcoholic drinks as well.

And to relax, nothing more than a cosy business center with computer with free internet access, a TV, and a sofa as well as a private sauna, also available for free.

I am sincerely sorry you didn't feel our hotel was a nice place to enjoy your journey in Paris.

With kind regards

This a great place to stay. It is off the tourist trail but only a short metro ride away. The room we had was small but very comfortable, nicely decorated and very clean. The en suite was large and very well appointed. The staff on reception all spoke English and were very helpful with advice about places to eat etc. On our last day we wanted to visit Sacred Coeur, Alex not only advised on the best route but kindly gave us tickets for the bus. He arranged for our luggage to be stored in the hotel and also suggested the best and cheapest way to get back to the airport. These little extras make such a difference especially as it was our first trip to Paris. We will definitely return!

Room Tip: We had a cosy room but there are others which are larger.
