“A decent option for lunch near the Eiffel Tower.”
Reviewed December 30, 2013

This place has a large business crowd at lunch. The food is pretty good, but not outstanding. It is a little pricy, but not bad considering its location only a block from the tower. The onion soup was only OK, but the salmon with buerre blanc and spinach was quite good. My wife had a Nutella crepe, it is pretty hard to screw that up.

“Excellent food and drink, not so excellent bill.”
Reviewed December 29, 2013

We've recently visited Paris and this restaurant was very close to our hotel. In our 4 day stay we ate here 3 times, once for breakfast and two evening meals.
The breakfast was quite cheap for paris (8.50 Euro for Coffee, fresh orange juice and a pain au chocolat, and my partner pad 13.50 Euro for Coffee, orange juice, french bread with jam, pain au chocolat and fried eggs with bacon) The food was delicious and the service was quick.
The second time was our evening meal for Christmas Day. The snails to start were delicious, the service was excellent and the waiter made a real effort to talk to us. The food was perfect although not cheap. They did get our bill wrong at the end, charged an extra 5 Euro for the Duck and 2 Euro for my salad, when we mentioned it they said the menu price was listed wrong but they corrected it for us.
Third time, food and service were just as good and the bill was correct thankfully.
Worth a visit but double check your bill.

“Decent pricey place, check the Plat duJour blackboard ”
Reviewed December 18, 2013 via mobile

Excellent service by professional and content waiter, prices are higher than in other neighbourhood restaurants. Ordered the onion soup which arrived in a minute, very hot and loaded with cheese and toasted bread - highly recommended, richest onion soup ever encountered in Paris. Tried to ordered a somewhat cheaper steak from Plat du Jour black board, to be told they runned out. Went for the a la carte entrecote, which wasn't bad but had to wait for more than 30 min when the place was half empty. It's opened till late.
I've been there in the summer and went for the cheeseburger which was quite dry, don't reckon will go for thirds. Not bad, though, especially if it's late and you dont feel like going a few minutes south to avenue de Suffren restaurants

“Good food, great service!”
Reviewed December 12, 2013 via mobile

We arrived into Paris late, tired and very hungry. So we walked out of the hotel into the first restraunt we could see (tourist move - I know!)
Although the drinks were expensive, the food was very good. I had the salmon from the specials board while my girlfriend had the duck from the menu. Both meals were well presented and tasted excellent. The service was also excellent, very personal and friendly.

Due to fatige of travelling I did over tip, but they certainly earned it!

“A REAL LUNCH TIME TREAT”
Reviewed December 9, 2013

This restaurant features character, style and an interesting menu. We enjoyed blanc de veal which just melted in the mouth. We followed this with coffee gourmand which was simply fabulous. A medium size pitcher of delicious red wine and one glass of Pear William to Finish. The bill came to about £95 so not cheap for lunch but it was delicious! Only after we had ordered did we notice the black board with the Plate de Jour which represented very good value for a restaurant of this class. We will go again and probably order from that. The service was jolly and very efficient and the restaurant was indeed spotless and cosily warm on a cold winters day. Go, it is well worth a visit!
