“OK for one night”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 19, 2012

We stayed here for one night, just to visit the Chateau.

The hotel is tucked away on a quiet side street in the centre of town and therefore difficult to find by car.

The ensuite room was basic but had everything we needed. The parking and wifi were free.

For a budget hotel it seemed quite expensive at 101 euros/night.

Room Tip: We had a quiet room on an upper floor facing away from the traffic.

Rooms are barely big enough. Bathroom clean but very old fashioned with no style. Big comfy bed. Handy underground car park. Better than average breakfast. Wi fi that works. Friendly and helpful staff.

4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 19, 2012

Stayed for a long weekend in September. The hotel is centrally placed for all the attractions and restaurants. The chateau and gardens are only a 5 to 10 min walk away. There are a variety of restaurants to suit all tastes. The hotel is a typical Ibis hotel although the rooms are a little on the small side. The bar area is situated within the reception area and does lack atmosphere although if weather is good there is a small terrace. Didn't try the breakfast so can't comment. There is an underground secure car park for 8euros a night. The staff were very plant and recommended a good restaurant nearby - Les Za'Zous which had a very good set menu although this didn't change during our stay and it is closed on Sunday nights.

Room Tip: We had a room at the rear so no traffic noise - even with window open

This is a very well run hotel with staff who do their best to make your stay enjoyable.
I stayed at this hotel last year and I cannot find fault with the room or service provided.
A great nights sleep and a good breakfast.

2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 8, 2012

We stayed in 3 Ibis hotels in the course of a week and this one needs sorting out. The room furnishings were tired and shabby. One arm rest was missing, the paintwork damaged and the shower room not in very good shape. The paintwork in the corridors also needs attending to. The whole hotel needs refurbishing really. For a place like Fontainebleau, Accor hotels deserve to do better.

Staff were excellent as was the location. The room size was a little on the small side hence the rating. However I would happily stay again.
