During a brief business trip to Besancon, we walked through the streets looking for a restaurant that didn't have heavy food and happened upon Chez Nahdi. What a charming place with a delightful, dynamic, warm & welcoming owner. You will have fun here and you will eat well. There is a nice vegetarian meze platter (hot and cold foods); non vegetarian platters, either hot or cold; grilled meats, etc. (Nahdi will explain everything to you). We had a bottle of Lebanese red wine (Ksara) to complement the food and a Lebanese anise-flavored aperitif (like Arak or Ouzo) to start off. Best of all, it won't break the bank.
