As for the Routard guide one of the best restaurant in Bastia but quality/price ratio very very poor... I undestand that its position inside the old port have a value but that's too much. Service quite good, except for an "aperitif" they served us as started we did'nt ordered but at the end we hd to pay (10 Euros). good selection of dishes and fishes quite good, but prices are really too expensive . 29 euros fo a boiled fish with mayonnaise and garlic (it was a "lotte" with aioli in french, it's a fresh water fish not a sea fish) it's ridicoulus , and wine very expensive (38 euro for a bottle of white wine of average quality).
By my opinion a tourist trap, with average products and average wines in a good landscape.. but not a restaurnat I would suggest someone..

This restaurant is actually just called Chez Huguette - Le Vieux Port (Old Port) is its location. There was a very inviting menu, speciaising in fish and seafood, both an all-inclusive menu for under 30 euros and an a la carte with plenty of choice. The quality was very good, service was fine, but the main attraction was the setting, looking out over the very attractive old port. We sat at a table across the road from the restaurant, but here was little traffic as it was closed in the evening. We did actually look at two other highly-rated restaurants in Bastia, Grazie Mille and A Mandria, but found their setting on a rather tired square far less appealing.

Our experience in this restaurant was very good. Apart from the price which is slightly on the high side, everything was above average. We had a fish dinner which was unforgettable. The lady who served us was particularly good and her effort to please guests was like none I have seen. I will recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Though this restaurant is near some typical tourist traps in the old harbor of Bastia, it does NOT belong into that category. It is actually THE place to go when in Bastia and when there is a craving for fish.
We would like to note the professional and friendly service, the freshness of the seafood (very good year-round oysters!), the good wine list and, alors, Madame Huguette who personally took the order.
The place is mentioned in the Guide Michelin with 2 fork/spoons.

This restaurant is in our view the top in Bastia. Its location is superb, in the old port, with a great view of the church if you're seating outside which we recommend if weather permits. The food is delicious, fresh, and of excellent choice, the waiters and waitresses are highly professional, the selection of wines is good (even some non-European ones! Where do you find that in Corsica). We had a bouillabaisse and it was the best we had in a long time. All fresh fish, deliciously looking and tasting, with a great soup and accompanying side dishes (bread, sauce Rouille, cheese etc). It may be a bit on the expensive side but I'd rather pay more for much better food. The choice of desserts in mouthwatering and absolutely great. Highly recommended!
