“A jewel of a cathedral”

Cathedrale St Pierre St Paul

A religous building on the site for 1,500 years. A predecessor that dominated the town where Rashi lived. Another predecessor where the council was held to lay down the rules for the Templars. A very fine collection of stained glass spared from the destruction of two world wars unlike religous buildings in Reims. You need to take binoculars to admire the details in the glass in the upper windows. There's even a devil with bright red naughty bits but I'll let you find him.

I will never cease to be amazed at the accomplishments of the architects, engineers and tradesmen of those times and this cathedral did nothing to lesson my appreciation of their accomplishments.

This cathedral is really big and beautiful, nothing you would expect in this small city but it is worth it! When I came in they had religious music on speaker and it totally completed the experience. I must say, it was more impressing than some other cathedrals I saw in Paris. This medieval city is quiet, friendly and totally charming.

Please please go there. It stunning and it catches you by surprise. I can't think of a better Cathedral interior and i've been in St Pauls London and St Peter's Venice etc.
Go!

A beatiful Medieval cathedral with wonderful stained glass and side chapels. Well worth a visit and perfect for some quiet contemplation.
