Don't bother for another two years. I'm sure it is a great museum but I was prevented from experiencing it because the entrance door was shut. A shame as it was a hot trudge to find the entrance behind the Cathedral. Look at that instead!

Worth a visit with a good variety of art, sculpture and ceramics on display. Bonus for us was that entry was without charge during the period of our visit ti Troyes.

The museum houses an interesting collection of modern art. Interestingly the introduction is in French, German, Dutch and Italian; no English.

We saw the Renoir exhibition which was excellent. The rest of the exhibits are interesting too. When we were going in we were questioning whether it would be worth the E5.50 but it was definitely was!

Lots of Impressionists here, in a lovely small collection. The bishop's palace which houaes the museum is an attractive setting too. Troyes is lucky to have a gallery of this quality.

This was well worth a visit: Renoir's work between his most famous works - intimate family sketches that tell a story.

There was a special exhibition of Renoirs, a few of his fine work included. The museum proper has a number of late 19th and early 20th century works of note. The is also a great deal of "fill in" material. The atmosphere is very relaxed. We enjoyed several school groups that were visiting at that time. It is a shame that in the USA art history is missing from most curriculums.

Very nice museum that started from a private collection.. Don't miss it if you are in Troyes. Works of Braque, Dufy, Matisse, etc.

Because areas of the gallery were closed for hanging a forthcoming collection, we were only charged about half price, but were impressed with what was still on view. The Marinot glass display was breathtaking and there are some lovely Derains. The building itself is also interesting with view of the cathedral and ancient streets from the windows, plus a peaceful sunny garden with sculptures.

We loved the collection and the former Bishop's Palace it is housed in. Pieces from the late 1800's onward. Highly recommended.
