Like others we decided to a close option to the hotel and we weren't disappointed. The service was fast and very friendly and the food was good but not incredible. Various choices of meat fish and typical local dishes so everyone can find something there.
Recommended.

The restaurant has an good balance of sea food and other meat based items on the menu. For a chain restaurant the quality is very good, we had oysters as starters followed by a mixed fish plate and grilled Dorada. Both were presented as I would expect. The staff are friendly and the service is well timed, the restaurant is in a complex with a cinema that must cause them problems at times with peaked occupancy. On the downside I felt the wine menu was limited and a bit pricey. Taken overall good value.

We were staying at the Mercure nearby and chose this on our first evening. Good food, cheerful and efficient service and a reasonable price. We would recommend this restaurant.

It was getting late in the evening and we did not want to go into town. So we decided to try the nearby restaurants. The choice was the Hippoptamus or the Taverne de Maitre Kanter. We chose the latter as the former seemed more like a steak house which you can have anywhere and I have yet to have a really good steak in France.
A resonable menu and friendly helpful staff . A good seafood selecton was available and I had oysters which were fresh and I enjoyed. The dishes are generous and the food generally good which is pretty good for a chain. I would go back.

This is one of several restaurants in a modern cinema and shopping plae 3-5 minutes walk from the medieval town centre. and is very popular with local folk. The menu was varied but that was as good as it got. Service was adequate and fast. We ordered langoustines as our starter, they were stale, watery and tasteless. For main course, the duck in plum sauce was tired and the beef steak was as tender as a pair of work boots. Dinner for two with wine without dessert was Euro 110 so we thought this a total rip off and respresented very poor value. We got the impression the management and staff did not really care for UK diners so it was not worth wasting our time complaining hence our feedback is now here on Trip Advisor! So Taverne De Maitre Kanter - le rating de les citizens de Royaum Uni est NUL POINTS!
