“Best lamb chop ever plus nice service”
Reviewed June 22, 2012

This restaurant appears to be run by 2 nice older men, who are very friendly. My lamb chop was one of the nicest I have ever had - tasted great and bien cuit no problem.

Plus very good value, was actually cheaper than most other restaurants.

“Yum!”
Reviewed March 3, 2012

This excellent restaurant is everything you want for dinner in Troyes.

Friendly, atmospheric, and excellent food. Fast service.

You go up the winding staircase to the (American) 2nd floor to sit. The menu was extensive, including ice cream/dessert, but I had the Tagliatelle with Salmon (fresh, not smoked) in cream sauce and green beans. It was tasty and the right size portion....not too big, not too small. Total bill was 15 euros for dinner and water.

I arrived at 7 pm or so and by 7:30 the place was full on a Saturday in March. Everyone was local (but me). Parking is nearby next to the Institute of Commerce and Trade, but part of the charm of Troyes is when the streets are lit up and the cobblestones and half timbered houses take on a whole different look.

We arrived for lunch not expecting very much. The service was friendly and we then proceeded to have a delicious meal-me with a salad and my husband with moules and pommes frites.Excellent.

“Exceptional Little Restaurant”
Reviewed May 5, 2011

My wife & I stumbled into this delightful restaurant whilst staying the night in the equally delightful town of Troyes - France's best kept secret.

Standard issue pavement furniture and tired, plastic menu folders didn't promise much at first but food & service was excellent, local, fresh and great value for money.

Staff were all friendly and attentive and were continually offering to take photos of customers rather than waiting to be asked.

Can't recommend it highly enough.
