The B&B is well located in the center of Reims, in a busy area but fortunately with a garage that can be rented. We parked our car when we arrived and didn't use it again until we left as we walked everywhere. The room itself (Les Anges, on the top floor) was nice, as was the bathroom. Breakfast was good, very typical with croissants, jams, juice, coffee, etc. I was sort of intrigued by the building. I never did figure out if it was originally a single family house or always divided into small apartments or rooms? In any event, it worked as a B & B but seemed less like you were in a home and more like you were renting a room in a boarding house. Renaud was helpful in answering questions and gave us a map for getting around. The only negative (to me and maybe some others) is that Renaud and Veronique have cats and cat lovers would enjoy that but for someone with a cat allergy, it was noticeable that cats live there.

Most helpful with booking. Breakfast was delightful. My only criticism is the lack of tea making facilities in the room, which is expected in England, but not always provided in France. I did remember our kettle, but forgot the cups. These were provided on request.

I stayed here for two nights with my boyfriend and we loved it! The house is a proper old French place and the rooms were beautiful. The owners could not have been more friendly and helpful, recommending lots of places in the area. The breakfast was delicious - fresh croissants, bread, jams and fresh squeezed orange juice! A great place to stay, thank you!

This place has everything you need when staying in Reims. We had a car during our visit which we parked in the B&B's garage and, because of the excellent location of this place, we did not use it again until we were leaving. Reims is a delightful city easily navigated on foot and this is a delightful B&B. We were warmly welcomed by Veronique and she provided us with a wealth of information about where to eat and where to visit. Our room was large and beautifully decorated in a traditional French style which we found charming. The breakfast, best described as continental, was fresh and plentiful. We would certainly stay here again and would recommend this B&B to others.

Booked because of the trip advisor reviews and not overly impressed.
The rooms we had were basis and that was all.No tea or coffee facilities, small cupboard/storage space wooded floors so lots of noise when anyone was moving around.
Bathroom was small and average.Breakfast was very simple with bread and jam not much else.
Position was very good and within walking distance of most attractions and restaurants.

Telliers, Propriétaire at Maison d'hotes Les Telliers, responded to this reviewResponded June 12, 2013

Hello,

We suspected that you were not enjoying your time in Reims but didn't expect that you also didn't enjoyed our B&B.
You were staying in family suite so we understand that it is less comfortable for 2 mature couples of friends to share a bathroom; than to enjoy 2 double rooms.
Family suite is ideal for families up to 4 persons, working colleagues or band of friends looking for low price accomodation.

There is nothing we can do about creaky floors, our home is an old lady about to celebrate its century.

We strongly disagree with you about good/bad value, pay 125 € per night for 4 persons, breakfasts included in the very town centre of a major French town is nice price.

During the day, we serve tea or coffee to our guests who wish it, so you had tea everyday served in your room.

We propose a typical French breakfast, simple and good.

Coffee/tea, croissants, bread, butter, homemade jams, fresh juice, yogurt and apple compote.

We only welcome up to 6 persons at a time so we can't have huge variety of (cheap, low quality) aliments like in hotels breakfast buffet.

We are dedicated to make a nice welcome to every guest so we will adapt to your remarks. We propose accomodation in our home, we wish it to be authentic and welcoming.

best regards

Véronique and Renaud

We had two lovely nights at Les Telliers.

It is in a great location and the room was lovely and big. There was a bit of noise but that's because it is an authentic older home with loads of character.

The breakfast was very nice and more than adequate (noting some of the previous comments).

Our hosts gave us good food recommendations and seemed genuinely interested in us having a good time in their city.

It was very good value.

Room Tip: There is no TV or fridge in the room so be prepared.

I stayed here for two nights in jan 2013 and it is a place I would recommend. The hosts were welcoming and gave good advice on local attractions/restaurants that delivered. The room was very stylishly decorated, large and true to the pictures with a big bathroom. Wifi was available in room and reliable. Breakfast was..... Delicious. Fresh bread, croissants, coffee, tea, jams, yoghurt, fruit compote and freshly squeezed orange juice. Would definitely recommend this for a short or long stay, a lovely place altogether.
