It was a delight to discover a Campanile with a proper family room(s). We booked a quadruple, the first I have ever encountered in a Campanile and it was such a change to have plenty of space and a separate room for the children with bunk beds. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location suited us but is out of the city centre (but this is made clear on website). Hotel is opposite a coach park and was a bit noisy after 7 am, but all in all it was a good place to stop over and we would go back.

Same as most other hotels from the Campanile family. Welcoming if you need a refuge with bar and restaurant which are pretty good. Rooms small and dismal, with cleanliness at minimum or below standard. Finding it is an art in itself - you just have to believe your Sat Nav and go along the very narrow and unlikely looking lane. Nothing nearby other than commercial buildings.

We stayed here on the way back from Provence, we had a lovely dinner and good breakfast - good choices on both meals. The room was adequate, clean and had a very good shower.

Perhaps in need of a litttle TLC but nothing to put us off going again.

We travelled from Hull to Lyon and stopped off at Reims to break the journey. We had done a similar thing in September 2010. the staff were very welcoming and friendly, the food (dinner) was very good and there was plenty of choice. It had a very relaxed atmosphere - perfect after a long drive from Hull.
I'm very "picky" about the bedrooms in hotels - particularly vis-a-vis cleanliness. This hotel passed with flying colours.
If you're looking for a clean, friendly, hospitable place to break a journey, I can honestly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Camponile rooms are pretty much the same, judging.

Used this hotel as a stop over on the way south. Due to delays in the Euro Tunnel we arrived after 11pm. After eventually finding the hotel in a industrial area the 2m high razer wire gates were locked, the whole hotel was surronded by a similar high metal fencing just looked like the entrance to a prison camp.

After evenually getting in by way of several rather lengthly telephone conversations we made it into our cramped and very basic room.

Breakfast didn't look too inviting so skipped that.

Even for a short stop over I wouldn't go back!

As the previous reviewer said, this is very difficult to find from the motorway, even with the map they provide. The Kyriad and the Campanile are signed off the main road (N44), but then there are no further instructions and the map seems to suggest you are already there. Our advice is to follow the sign off the main road, then turn right at the end of the small road. Follow that road round to the left and then to the right, then eventually the Kyriad is in front of you and the Campanile is to its right.

This is a new addition to the Campanile chain, but be aware that it is in an old building rather than being a newly-built structure. The result is that it is a bit tired, and is also not in the usual Campanile style. Instead of the rooms leading off balconies, there is an internal corridor with the rooms off either side of it. This means a lot more noise than in other Campaniles. The main problem we had with this Campanile, though, is that the room smelt of drains, the smell seeming to come from the bathroom. The room itself and the bathroom were also very small, even by Campanile standards. On the positive side the bed was comfortable and the shower was good. The staff were also friendly and helpful.

We ate an evening meal which was OK (we have stayed in many Campaniles, and have had both better and worse). The breakfast was good, a slightly smaller selection of items than we are used to, but it was good quality (especially the french bread and the marmalade).

It was OK for one night, but given that it costs more than the other Campaniles in Reims, and yet in many ways is not as good, we will probably select one of the other ones in future.

The hotel is located in rather a strange location, in a light industrial looking area, and was hard to find off the main road (despite having written directions from their own web site). The road to take off the main N44 looked more like an alleyway, but it opened out a little at the end.

The hotel is strictly no-frills, and the room was small but clean. The bed was comfortable, and the room included a very small television, a coffee maker, a desk and couple of chairs, and the tiniest bedside ‘cabinet’ (more a box) I’ve ever seen! The ensuite bathroom was small, but clean and everything was in working condition. The room was warm, and there was no air conditioning, and since we were on the ground floor we did not want to leave the window open, since somebody could enter fairly easily. The passageways smelt a little musty.

The restaurant was fine – the same as you always tend to get with a Campanile, with a choice of meals off the menu or from the buffet. Breakfast was not included, and was 7.20 Euros for a smallish choice of cold items, served in a small side room. Only one of us bothered with the breakfast.

Overall I would say that this hotel was perfectly fine for what we wanted – a one-night stopover on the way to somewhere else. I wouldn’t really have wanted to spend any longer here, but would consider it again for another one-night stay.
