It is less than ten minutes from the main street and a bit out of the way, but this is a good sign in a restaurant as it means it can't rely on passing trade, so it has to rely on the quality of the food and word of mouth.
The decor is pleasant and the welcome and service were excellent.
The menus are good value, we had the and the food is freshly prepared, really nicely cooked and presented.
The choice is not wide , but as another reviewer has said, I would always have a more limited choice of excellent food rather than a wider menu of lesser quality.
26 euros is very good price. We spent more in the centre of town for a meal that was nowhere near as good.
I thought the area where it is located was fine

What a wonderful meal. We did not know quite what to expect, and this tiny restaurant—tucked away from the main street—was a bit of a hike from our hotel. We did not know, for example, that there are two prix fixe menus, 26 and 35 euros. We went for the 26ers and could not have been more fulfilled. Since I am certain the menu will have changed by now, I will not rehearse it. But it was delightful. A small caveat: we had noticed the most of the TA reviews were in French. That's because the proprietress speaks French, the menu is in French, etc. I was fortunate to be traveling with a French speaker who smoothed out all the potential rough spots in the evening. Those who get frustrated with linguistic disconnects should probably go elsewhere. However, even a smattering of French, along a reservation, and a sense of adventure will make for a memorable evening.

We arrived around 20.25 without reservation and we were clearly not welcome. There were not that many people in the restaurant, but still we wanted to give it a try. Thanks to the good ratings on Tripadvisor.

The waitress told us first that we were too late, then that we should have made a reservation because the kitchen was not prepared. "Not prepared"? It's only 2 of us??

Tucked away and pleasant. Waitress attentive and friendly, all clientele seemed to be local. Chose the 26e menu. Choice of 3 starters, 3 mains and 2 desserts. Foie gras was very good, as was the saumon fumee. Monk fish delicious as was my partner's lamb 'souris'. Souffle and tiramasu were both tasty and rich. All homemade and beautifully presented. Not the largest portions in the world but we were both happy with the value and had a very nice evening with good food.
