We stayed for one night during a tour of Europe. The room was booked last minute so we probably did get a good rate although we paid more for the night at this hotel than anywhere else in Europe. Perhaps our expectations were too high? The hotel is tucked part way along a narrow street and about 10 minutes walk into the centre of Reims. First impressions were good. It appeared quite grand although rather dated. Very few other residents seen during our stay. Staff initially appeared helpful but when problems occurred with internet access and the TV the attitude was one of indifference and 'wriggle the wires on the back of the TV'. When informed this had been tried, he just shrugged his shoulders. Interestingly this particular TV channel miraculously reappeared once the England football match finished......hmmmmmm (France had been eliminated a day or so before).
The room was tall ceilinged, depressing and dark. It did have air con and the bathroom was good. Everywhere was clean. We declined the breakfast at 25 euros each as could not imagine any breakfast could be worth that much. The picture on 'booking.com' was obviously a deluxe room and there was mention of a 'fruit and pastry tray' on arrival which never arrived! We felt this was misleading.

This hotel is great if you like something classy but not part of a big faceless chain. It has style and personality. Watch out for the breakfast however they have rather let themselves down on this one. Nevertheless are great place to stay in Reims.

This is a lovely little hotel, tucked away in the back streets of Reims, a 10 minute walk from the town centre. The staff were absolutely charming, and made breakfast quite fantastic for us. There is a little secluded car park, and the room was comfortable with a nice bathroom, but perhaps a little warm- but there was air-con. so we made the temeprature just right.
This was an ideal stop off travelling accross France.

This is a first class place to spend a weekend or to use as a base to explore Champagne. It is ideally situated on the north side of Reims and close to a host of top quality brasseries.

One of an increasing number of quality hotels that serves only breakfast the Templiers is a fine old building with a small number of comfortable bed rooms although somewhat light on storage space. Despite having a superior room on the ground floor the bath almost required a shoe horn for me to prise myself into.

However the staff are charming, there is off road parking which takes some negotiating on arrival as the old coaching entrance is about as tight a squeeze as the bath.

Reims is also a delight to explore, something that cannot be said of neighbouring Epernay. This is a warm and welcoming hotel that I heartily recommend.

I booked this hotel as a part of a grand tour in Alsace,Lorraine and Champagne regions.Arrived by car(with GPS) 2 pm.Check in very fast and professional. The room(20) was a deluxe one for a daily rate of EUR 280.00 without breakfast.Air conditioned "split"with remote control. No free internet in the room.Hermes toiletries VERY GOOD.The only problem was the location of the hotel:there's nothing around it!No bars,no restaurants, nothing. You have to walk 20 minutes to the Cathedral. The breakfast was too expensive(25 euros)for what it offers. The man in the reception at night is very attentive, nice and willing to help.
