This hotel is very well situated right next to the main arteries leading to the Cathedral and Palace of Tau, just cross Sqare Colbert and you find yourself in the main thoroughfare with loads of restaurants and bar with terraces. on the other side of the train station, you have The Museum of the Reddition which is very interesting.
The hotel receptionist was very pleasant and even though the room gave onto the station it did not prevent us from having a good sleep.
The car park is very handy but can be difficult to locate as you have to enter through a slip road and if you miss it you go underneath a tunnel.
The Ibis Reims is a modern Hotel located adjacent the Reims railway station. We drove to Reims. The hotel utilises the station car park which is conveniently located adjacent the reception end of the hotel. A special daily rate is available. The hotel is conveniently located for walking into the town centre. Also, there is a tram stop outside. Our room was clean with a large bathroom. Rooms are air-conditioned and well insulated from the any noise from the trains. Breakfast is excellent. The hotel staff were helpful. My only comment is that the room lacked tea / coffee making facilities.
For a few days visiting the caves, it's the perfect hotel. Nice in the city centre, on walking distance to champagne houses and restaurants, and that for a very good price, perfect! The hotel is clean and parking is very easy on 1min from the hotel.
I was initially a bit concerned about this hotel being next to the train station, but it is about as safe as you can get. The rooms are tiny, and typical Ibis. In our case, the AC was just blowing air around the room, and definitely needs to be replaced. The hotel is a small, pleasant, walk from any site within Reims. The city is very clean and very French. The room could use some updating, but it was clean and that is what counts. Bed was a bit hard, but not too bad. Loved the free WiFi, by the way.
This hotel is very well situated being almost adjacent to the railway station. There is some noise from the TGV's as they disgorge their passengers, although shutting the window soon sorts this out! Not only is the hotel by the station, but 5 minutes walk will take you into the centre of Rheims. Trams stop nearby to take you further afield. Hotel rooms are typical Ibis quality - nothing wrong with that at all.
