On an incredibly warm day in July 2013, we stopped for lunch at Cafe du Palais. The service and food were so wonderful that we were able to ignore the oppressive heat on the patio. My mother swears that her chicken salad contained the best poached chicken she has ever tasted. Additionally, the wonderful champagne selection (by the glass) was the perfect way to cool down in the heat. Lastly, the staff were incredibly charming and helpful. Our waiter kept us laughing due to his one-of-a-kind personality, and the restaurant did not hesitate to call us a taxi for our afternoon trip to Veuve Cliquot. Don't miss the art inside the restaurant!

We enjoyed a pleasant mid week lunch at Le Cafe du Palais. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The menu is not extensive and fairly expensive but it is in the heart of Reims and lovely if you can sit outside and people watch. The art deco interior is worth a look. The salads were fresh and plentiful.

We enjoyed our evening here but thought it was rather expensive. The food was good but based on the quantity is quality approach. The portions could have been smaller. Service was a little slow and I think they maybe wished we had arrived a little earlier as they closed as soon as we starting getting ready to leave. The decoration is fascinating and well worth a visit to have a look around which you could do by just calling in for a drink.

We booked a table based on all these reviews.
Food was mediocre at best. Cantine food (with foie gras) at 24 € per plate...
Music was Nice, Staff friendly, but I still go to restaurant to eat, and this not the place if you want quality at fair value.
