The owners were amazing. The room was perfect for our 2 night stay. We had the main floor room, so no stairs for luggage which was handy. Perfect central locale. Breakky was simple and tasty, given Reims is very small we had expected more boulangerie etc however they were not that accessible. Was a bit of a walk from the train station with all our luggage. The main floor room backs on to the breakfast den, so some noise AM, though not a big deal. Only challenge was finding a place to leave our luggage after checkout. We were lucky and a nice clerk at the Ibis beside the train station let us leave our luggage there.

My husband and I booked a double privilege room in this small hotel. The hotel is on a quiet street in Reims, but within 5 - 7 mins walk of the town centre and other attractions. This hotel offered a very comfortable, impeccably clean room with garage parking (1 block away from hotel). On our entire 4 week France and Italy tour, this was the only hotel which had a shower AND bath. We received stand-out service (including the hotel assisting us with all our champagne tour bookings). I would stay here again!

Wonderful and helpful hosts. On a quiet back street. Convenient to sights, about a ten minute walk. Rooms on small side, no elevator. Nice breakfast - no self serve - but everything offered. Very clean. Would go back!

Located in the center, in a chic neighborhood. Easy access, parking extra but close by. Fabulous breakfast. The small private courtyard is pretty. Nice room, clean and wonderfully decorated.
Jacuzzi bathtub still doesn't work, and never will, but who cares.
Owner dislikes greatly booking.com and such. However, that's how I found the hotel and I think he should be more respectful. Upon arrival, he told us we had to pay extra to keep the same room, then I sent a message to booking and the situation was cleared up. We kept the same room and didn't pay more. But, this really put a damper on the whole experience.
This hotel is charming and modern, unlike so many in Reims, yet, will I return?

Thank you for this comment
Indeed, nothing can hide!
Booking.com is a service which takes 17% commission just to make the link between their website and the hotel. We are forced to be on their list to receive maximum customer since all the world visit their website to find a hotel. Now very little customer take the time to call or send an email directly to the hotel. All independent hotels are struggling to grow their direct sales. The client passes directly wins in all cases either by having a bigger room or higher or other benefit ...
We are glad that you have satisfied our accommodation facility during your stay in Reims.

Excellent location, nice rooms, secure, helpful staff.

A short, easy walk away from Reims station with close proximity to local restaurants, boulangeries, bars etc. The building is secure with an after-hours PIN code system.

The managers gave us maps and plenty of ideas for things to do and places to see. We needed to leave our bags at the hotel on Sunday before travelling back home and we were helpfully provided with use of their secure garage.

Very strict rules around bringing drinks (tea, coffee) and food to the bedrooms, but understandable given the rooms have been recently refurbished.

Excellent service and tasty breakfast. We stayed two nights and loved it. If it rains, you can help yourself to an umbrella near the main door. At breakfast we noticed several women staying alone. I would love to return.

We stayed here for 3 nights. A comfortable and seemingly well run hotel rear near the centre of Reims, which also has private garaged car parking available. (Think you have to book this in advance though... we did).
Right what's good:-
Owners were very friendly and helpful with good English. In fact they went out of their way to help including giving you not only very good recommendations for local eateries but also giving out vouchers that meant you got a free drink at each of them. They can also arrange Champagne tours when in season. Breakfast was traditional French which was fine and not over priced. Room was very clean and well furnished.

The not so good:- (Though the hotel does tell you about some of these things on booking!).
The hotel does not have a lift so you need to be fairly fit if you have heavy luggage and are on the top floor. Our room was quite small (Not a problem as such), the shower/bathroom however was very small. I would go so far as to say that if you are on the large side you may struggle with it. The hotel does not have someone on reception all the time. The only issue we had was that on our day of leaving the hotel had put up a sign the previous night telling guests that breakfast was being moved form the standard 7.00AM to 8.30AM instead. We missed this small sign and as we had to leave early, we missed breakfast, and had to wait around until someone came into reception before we could pay our bill and then leave. Think this was a one off thing though. Would we stay here again if we were back in Reims? Yes we would.
