4 of us (2 couples) stayed here mid August as a stop-over on our way to Meloisey. It's about 2 1/2 hrs from Calais and the hotel location was perfect for us. It is situated in a quiet area of central old town Reims. We arrived on a Friday and had book a secure parking space as well.

The garages are a short walk away and are lockable and in a secure courtyard behind an apartment block.

On Saturday mornings the streets adjacent to Hotel Azur are used for the 'farmers market' market and means the streets (and on-street parking) are out of action all morning at least.

The rooms are on the small side and our shower room was tight; maybe I was just too big for it. As many others have already said there is no lift in the hotel and the internal stairwell and landings are dark.

Hotel staff could not have been more helpful. They gave good advice about local places to get a good value meal and provided plentiful and varied continental breakfast.

The centre of Reims is within easy walking distance. We watched the AMAZING 'sound and light' show at Reims Cathedral and would highly recommend this to other travelers whilst it is running.

This small hotel is well worth consideration.

Very nice and well located small Hotel in Reims. We stayed in the upper floor blue room, which was lovely! Spacious, extremely clean, calm and cozy. Very good ratio quality/price for its location and welcoming. Only be careful that if you arrive in the closing hours (for cleaning services) you cannot check in. Breakfast is ok, nothing remarkable. We advise this nice hotel for a visit in the Region without hesitation.

Room Tip: The blue room under the roof

We had not been to Reims before and used trip advisor to choose this hotel and we were not disappointed. The rooms were clean, secure and well decorated. The location is ideal to walk to town, the cathedral etc in 5-10mins and then we walked to Pommery and Taittinger champagne houses in 30mins too. The staff was really helpful and made a wonderful suggestion for dinner (not touristy) and very reasonably priced. Just to give some context: we are used to travelling with work and staying in 4/5* hotels and although Hotel Azur is only 2* (only due to no lift and not 24hr reception) I thought it was a fabulous hotel that provided everything we needed for a weekend stay. Even after we left they were helpful...we left some sunglasses in a restaurant and so the hotel manager made some calls, collected the sunglasses and posted them back to us! - Great service!

I stayed here for 2 nights with my husband and 2 children earlier this month. The rooms are quite small, but very very clean and the decor is cute. What makes this hotel special is the owners- they welcomed us with such genuine warmth and helped a great deal with recommendations, reservations, etc.

I stayed at Hotel Azur with 3 friends for a weekend of champagne tasting.
The hotel was very easy to find, a 5 minute walk from the station. It was on a quiet street so we had very little noise during the night. The rooms were bright and clean, if a little on the small side. The staff were so helpful and went out of the way to make our trip one to remember. It is fantastic value for money and quite frankly, I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Reims as the service you would receive at Hotel Azur is second to none.

I think it is very important which room you get, if you like it here or not. We had a room on the street side: warm and noisy. Our friends had a room at the backside of the hotel and that was ok. They also had a separate toilet in their bathroom. We didn't. Our bathroom door wasn't even a real door: it had blinds. Therefore no privacy at all in the bathroom.
The hotel has free internet access, but during our stay it was most of the time very slow or inaccessible.
It was only €65 per night, however still a bit too expensive in my opinion.

This cute and welcoming hotel is a great find. It's within walking distance of the train station and only a few minutes from the historic centre of Reims. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Just be sure to check in before 12:30 or after 14:30! The reception is closed during lunch and you risk getting stuck towing your luggage around Reims like we did!
